@alexdolbyaffekt has contributed to the Italian techno scene for over 20 years and isn't showing any signs of slowing down. Throughout his career he has released on labels such as A.R.T.S, Modularz, and Teksupport, besides running his own labels Sequenzial and Affekt Recordings - which celebrated its 10th year in 2023.

Alex's approach to music is to challenge himself and the status quo, and his upcoming release on Sequenzial, RAI Series 1.1 does just that. Created to explore the more minimal regions of the label, RAI will look to meander through slower BPMs, and offer a different experience to the labels usual output.

In the first edition of our new //SNCMIX series, Alex explores his current sonic aesthetic as he weaves through dark, cavernous soundscapes, driving basslines, and dubby chords in this atmospheric techno mix.

This next guest has cast a large shadow over the technosphere, so large in fact, that no introduction could fully encompass the breadth of his achievements. But in brief: Ben Klock is a titan whose formative years were spent playing marathon mixes to the crowds at Berlin’s (then recently opened) Berghain. Off the back of his endurance sets and the club’s success he became a household name whose influence grew to be felt across the world, with a body of work that includes appearances at an exhaustive list of clubs and festivals, a number of hot releases on Ostgut Ton and an equally respected self-run label (Klockworks) to boot. On this second imprint, his own productions have repeatedly seen the light of day, alongside those from the likes of DVS1, Sterac, Stef Mendesidis and younger talents like Temudo and Vil & Cravo. The sound, ubiquitous as it is, will be familiar to anyone involved in the world of electronic music and there’s good reason for that: Klock’s deep and percussive work and ability to pull from a wide range of influences have earmarked him as a unique agent for the techno cause. At the intersection of techno's industrial past and its avant-garde future stands Phase Fatale, the Berlin-based project of Hayden Payne. A resident at both Berghain and KHIDI, Payne channels his roots in New York's post-punk and EBM scenes into a sound that's precisely engineered for the deepest corners of the dancefloor. 

Since emerging in 2014, Phase Fatale has been pivotal in reshaping the contours of modern techno. His releases on labels like Ostgut Ton, Jealous God, and Hospital Productions showcase a commitment to sonic exploration, blending dense atmospheres with rhythmic precision. His 2020 album, Scanning Backwards, was specifically engineered for Berghain's acoustics, reflecting his deep connection to the club's sonic environment.
