One foot in the nineties and another in the future, New Yorker Holden Federico's music updates the funk and grit of techno’s formative era for modern dance floors. The four tracks on “Inner Order”, his second EP for the SK11X series, squeeze maximum power out of few elements, with peak-time cuts presented on the A-side and his deeper work on the flip. Heavily road tested in label boss Setaoc Mass’ DJ sets, this EP is proven to do the business on a big stage, while still paying tribute to techno’s musical roots.

The Berlin based duo Jones&Roth (@jonesroth ) love to cook - in the kitchen and the studio. The two producers Pino Peña and estimua, who have so far released mainly House on labels like Sounds Over Seas or Schimmers Groovebox now show their technoy side for W133. The EP holds 3 original tracks, each of them a homage to a turkish vegetable: aubergine (patlican), zuchini (kabak) and hot pepper (aci biber). „Kabak“ the starter of the EP is an energy driven dancefloor tool with bouncy bass which makes you want to dance instantly. A2 - „Aci Biber“ is of course the spiciest of the tracks. It drives with a distorted bassline and punches you right in the stomach. On the B side we find the very percussive „Patlican“, giving you the need to enjoy a tasty baba ganoush under the Neukölln sun. If you want it a bit freakier, say no more - the duo asked their good friend Egotot ( @egotot ) for a crazy remix of patlican, which was produced under heavy dong xuan influence.

37 of the hottest names of the current techno scene have donated a brand new unsigned track, where all the sales and streaming funds will be directed to NGOs to provide support and assistance to earthquake victims both in Turkey and Syria.

After putting out a slew of self-released cuts as LKY, Figure finally gets a hold of the rising techno talent that is Nathan Lockwood. Hailing from the UK, this young talent carries an extensive understanding of Britain’s techno lineage, with over a decade of experience in the game both as a promoter and DJ. 
Now fully coming into his own as a producer, LKY’s tracks are informed by the loopy nature of his progenitors, while still retaining some of the core dub influences and yet always keeping a propulsive momentum going.
On his EP for Figure, the title track Symmetry Zone opens with full force, seamlessly intertwining twisting rhythms and searing percussion into a powerful maelstrom of energy. The A2 Chaser is a more reduced take on the formula, rolling out a muscular groove with only a handful of elements, such as precise low-end and some curious synths doing all the work.
On the flip, LKY shows a deeper side to his work, focusing on the hypnotic element that he has become known for. Tracking strikes a wonderful balance between the dubby synth stabs and driving claps, while Formed has an almost Deep House-feel to it, imbued with gorgeous warm ambiance and teasing vocal snips. The digital format of X38 comes with the bonus track Idle Ride, a deeper, more tribal affair, displaying LKY’s versatility as a gifted producer.
