It was a summer morning when, unexpectedly, this demo landed in my hands. The guys from Atlanthes were unknown to me until that moment, but they burst into my musical perception in a powerful way. Throughout the year, I hadn't heard anything quite like this. It’s a EP that has it all: a sensual vocal in Spanish, a rhythm that doesn’t fully align with hard groove, but doesn’t conform to the hypnotic techno standards either. It’s that distinct style that T.A.M.R (The Acid Mind Recordings) has proudly carried for some time, like a torch in the dark.

Atlanthes, hailing from Chile, delivers two tracks that transcend any label. These are true masterpieces, blending styles and discovering soundscapes never explored before. It’s not just more of the same. Here, we strive to keep this flame alive, creating timeless techno, beyond trends. This is hypnotic groove at its finest—unique and unparalleled.

Atlanthes - Otros Latidos

The seventh Various Artists release on Mary Yuzovskaya’s Monday Off imprint arrives on vinyl in October 2024, with Yuzovskaya, Viels, ORBE, and D-Leria contributing tracks. It follows ‘VA Vol. 6’, which featured Blazej Malinowski, Michal Wolski, Xhato & Milena Glowaka, and won support from artists like Chris Liebing, re:ni, Gigi FM, and more. First up on the record, Italy’s End Of Perception founder Viels conjures up a storm with ‘Nero’, a cerebral cut with crushing, low-end-heavy atmospheres and mysterious alien signals. It is followed by Spanish techno lynchpin and Orbe Records boss ORBE, whose hypnotic ‘Rigging’ explores the abyss with foreboding sonics and a continual beep sequence that guides the track forward. On the B-side, Monday Off label head Mary Yuzovskaya presents ‘Trouble’. A masterful bassline and bodied kickdrum starts the trip, providing an excellent foundation while alternating between rattling percussion, deep dub hits, and strangely familiar but indecipherable vocal snippets. Sound design wizard D-Leria then closes out the EP with the spellbinding ‘Battito’, complete with mind-blowing melodies and swirling effects, rounding off another top-draw psychedelic offering on Monday Off. Various Artists ‘VA Vol. 7’ drops on Monday Off 11th October 2024.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from VEIVERIS. "Néra Vietos" comes off the new album, Virsmas, forthcoming from the Lithuanian artist. One of the album’s lead singles, “Nėra Vietos”, introduces VEIVERIS' storytelling vision, with Lithuanian vocals and a darkwave aesthetic.

In the album, the artist explores themes of personal development, becoming, and the never-ending process of change within oneself. Stylistically, the album revolves around the influences of nightclubs and dance-floor oriented genres, creating a unique clash of musical styles and a musically dynamic soundscape.

MOLIY & Silent Addy - Shake It To The Max (Michael Beggs Remix)

eee (short for “eLECTRO eNIGMA eNSEMLE”) is the new Berlin-based duo from Reza Bashi (Dampen the mood [SOIL Records], Resonance of Six [SOWASVON Records]) and ShySam @shysam [SVNSETWAVES, Fuzzy Puddles].

Rusted Hammers, their debut single released on KabelKiste Berlin, is the manifestation of the cinematic, hypnotic and dark crossing of the two artists and composers. The mesmerizing bassline creating a drive for the duration of the track and the distant piano presenting the piece in a dystopian atmosphere is the distinguishing material of this arrangement.
Inspired by the grit of Berlin and the rust of its club-scene, this piece isn’t an intro track, but a tool for the peak hours; a deep-groove built for 4 AM on dance-floors of the hammerhalle of Sisyphos and the Vault of Tresor.
