Birmingham born, Berlin-based DJ, Producer, Live Act and Label Owner Rebekah is the multifaceted artist leading the way in today’s techno scene.

Undoubtedly one of the most revered names in techno, Rebekah boasts a string of notable releases on the likes of Mord, Soma, CLR and Elements, and has been highly regarded by the likes of Chris Liebing, Bas Mooy, Paula Temple, Perc and many more throughout the course of her career. She’s earned her respected reputation over recent years, with her relentlessly heavy sound winning her titles such as DJ Mag’s Best Producer in 2018, and featuring as their January cover star in 2019. She launched her highly successful live set in late 2018 which was named by Resident Advisor as one of the best performances of ADE 2018.

Nastia Reigel started out by throwing illegal dance parties in Siberia when she was 18. That tenacity and dedication later found her in St.Petersburg in 2018, launching the first-ever queer techno parties in town called Грань (Grahn’), which was written up in Dazed Magazine few times. In between she spent years accumulating mixing techniques and selection skills that have gave her a unique voice as a musician and DJ, along with a busy touring schedule in Russia, Western Europe, Australia, and North and South America. Nastia's obsession with achieving deeper understanding of electronic music, modern art and constant development of techno sound finds its reflection in her mixes and production. Her vinyl releases 'Trust, Intimacy' and 'Disarm To Surrender' on Enemy Records demonstrate a perfect balance of artistic taste, technical ability and has already garnered support from established techno musicians. April of 2020 saw her appearance on Token records release. January 2021 she released new EP on NonSeries that showed her excellent producer skills. As a multidisciplinary artist, Nastia has written music for several art-house films, which has broadened her scope as musician well beyond techno, to various other experimental audio and visual projects. One of them is her post-punk alias Rosa Damask that first appeared in Vatican Shadow’s Berghain Mix 09; soon after, she
released an album on his widely revered Hospital Productions label. In 2021 she released next album on Atlanta’s DKA label and started to perform live.

Setaoc Mass is the Manchester raised/Berlin based moniker behind SK_Eleven and a techno behemoth with the Midas touch. His golden sound is on just about every dancefloor you’d want to visit: thundering 4/4 beasts skilfully interwoven with gauze-like details provided by his earliest passion for Warp-era electronics. This gritty blend of driving techno and cerebral IDM is one that’s high on horsepower: dry, pummelling basslines, intricately layered hi-hats and sparse but gliding notes that add a softer touch. Unsurprisingly, this Setaoc sound has found a legion of loyal fans as well as fellow collaborators with a similar vision, names like Matrixxman and recent podcast guest Yant with which to bat ideas and release some straight-up bangers. For the purists though, Bassiani Podcast 165’s all Sam Coates: this one’s an hour long studio mix packed with fearsome, erratic beats, chopped-up vocals, frenzied loops and adrenaline-fuelled calculations to get those warehouse walls trembling.

Recording of my Live Act at Jardim Sonoro, in Lisbon. I used two controllers to control Ableton (108 knobs & 12 buttons) and an Erica Synths Perkons (also processed in Ableton in real time). 95‰ of the synth ideas you hear were created in the moment. No scene launch in ableton whatsoever. Let me know if you find the 5% pre recorded beats :D

It’s a completely raw recording, no level adjustment, no mastering and no editing (yes you can hear a little crash on my computer near the end).

A look back at Philippa Pacho’s profound performance in our Room 01 at the positivesource showcase, which she co-founded hand in hand with Blue Hour. The Stockholm-born artist delivered a knife-edged vision to techno during a two-hour memorable set at her imprint night in Fuse.
 
Like a gentle hold, Philippa's narration is as tactile as poignant. Dark without being obscure, musing yet energetic, no one can doubt the decade of musicality that has flowed through her veins ever since. Drawn to sharp kicks or a few clipped vocals here and there, Philippa Pacho's mix is an invitation, or even more an exploration, to a complex and appealing inner world. A stand-out.
