For this episode, we welcome DJ and producer Nicolas Vogler. His fascination for music stretches back far into his childhood. Born and raised in Londrina, southern Brazil, his musical journey first manifested itself in an admiration for punk and rock n’ roll, which inspired him in his early years to learn guitar. As a teenager, he discovered electronic music through underground parties, nurturing a passion for techno that has only grown over the years. The dirty rawness of old-school techno and the hypnotic feel of more contemporary tracks inspire him.

Today, he is a producer, gaining renown through his own personal label NCLS as well as through releases on groove-focused techno labels such as Syxt Berlin, Drawner records, Malör Records, ESP Collective, and Mutual Rythm. Played by techno DJs worldwide, Nicolas’ tracks can be found in mixes by notable artists such as Rødhåd, Ben Sims, Rene Wise, and many others.

NYMED is a French DJ & Producer based in Paris. He is the founder of Conceptual Violence, a podcast series and incoming label that focuses on Techno from around the world. 
He is also the curator and head organizer of Toyz, a queer club night in Paris established in 2021. Nymed’s sound is characterized by a love for old school 90’s techno, with a no-frills approach to mixing that sets him apart from his FX laden contemporaries. His revivalist sound has made him an in-demand artist locally at iconic French queer events like Vertigo, Spectrum & Myst as well as raves and events in France, Belgium, and Germany. 
His debut EP, ‘Vassau’ (EMS017) combines hypnotic, trippy melodies and sexually charged rhythms, reflecting the current sound shaping the queer Parisian underground.

Jannis Maxim is a 27-year-old DJ from Stuttgart, who started his craft 12 years ago. He stands as a key figure in the Southern German techno scene, marking a decade of influence. His name is synonymous with a diverse sound that has resonated with techno enthusiasts, whether he’s setting the stage as the opening act during Maintime or delivering a captivating closing performance.

For six years, Jannis Maxim held the role of resident DJ at the iconic ToY club, which unfortunately closed its doors. During this tenure, he not only refined his distinct style but also cemented his standing within the scene.

Jannis remains true to his unique style, consistently captivating the crowd and guiding them through an immersive experience. With his impressive expertise and distinctive sound, he undoubtedly continues to play a significant role in shaping the Southern German techno scene, filling dance floors with his passion for electronic music.
