For Week 4 of our 5 weeks of Pride colabs, we are in our home town of Berlin with Buttons. Today they bring us the second all vinyl set of the week with @shaunjwright

Shaun J. Wright grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago, falling in love with house music during their teenage years. While studying at Morehouse College in Atlanta, they honed their skills as a dancer in both the vogue ballroom scene and professional dance companies. After earning an MA in Fashion Curation from the London College of Fashion, they worked in fashion in New York City, where they met Andrew Butler of Hercules and Love Affair in 2008 and joined the group as a vocalist.

In 2012, Wright returned to Chicago to focus on their solo career, teaming up with DJ and producer Alinka to launch the Twirl label and party series. As a DJ, they’ve brought their sound – often laced with live vocals – to dance floors around the world, from Sydney to Berlin to their hometown, where they’re a resident at Smartbar.

This set was recorded at home using vinyl only, with a vocal outro from Aérea Negrot & Longopus added digitally. The tracklist was inspired by warm Sunday afternoons playing in the Garten at Buttons – sunny, soulful, and full of feeling.

For Week 4 of our 5 weeks of Pride colabs, we are in our home town of Berlin with Buttons. Opening this special week is their resident @alisonswing with an all-vinyl mix.

Alison Swing is a DJ with a natural, honest style shaped by her roots in the LA warehouse scene. As co-founder of Dig Deeper, her parties and sets helped shape a decade of underground dance music in downtown Los Angeles. Since relocating to Berlin seven years ago, she’s become a regular at some of the city’s most exciting events, including her debut at Panorama Bar and a residency at Buttons. With a warm, uplifting sound and a keen ear for tracks that connect, she’s played over 30 countries, bringing her joyful take on club music to dance floors around the world.

This mix was recorded at her flat in Kreuzberg on a sunny morning before the summer heat kicked in. It features a bunch of new records picked up during recent crate-digging trips to Japan, Mexico and New York. It’s a playful, sassy selection, full of the quirky energy that reminds her of Buttons – and the freedom to be completely herself on the dance floor.

DJ NORTHERN is a queer femme artist from the UK now based in Berlin. A passionate vinyl digger with a love for turntablism, her sets are full of energy and raw, hands-on feeling. She’s a co-founder and resident of the Berlin-based FLINTA party series @garage-girls and FACILITATE, and also has a residency @qs1studio.

This mix leans into her harder side – a Techno-forward set with a healthy dose of attitude. As always, a bit of Speed Garage found its way in too. It’s giving cunty Techno meets gay Garage – tough, playful, and totally her.

Dirty Daddy Don is also the organiser behind the long-running transsexual dungeon party @dumpparty. Known for sets that lean into the darker, dirtier corners of the dance floor, his sound moves from horny house to seductive techno – always delivered with a filthy track selection and zero shame.

This is a classic DDD house set featuring a bunch of Berlin’s finest faggots. All tracks are from upcoming 2025 releases, many of which have already been tested in the club.

Originally from Chicago and now based in Berlin, Jacob Meehan is a DJ and event organiser known for creating thoughtful, feel-good energy both behind the decks and in the spaces he helps shape. A regular presence at some of Berlin’s best-loved dance floors, his sets blend warmth, groove and intention.

This one was recorded while Jacob was on-site at Ferropolis, helping build up for WHOLE Festival 2025 – a sunny, summery mix to lift your mood and move your feet.
