Established in 2011, Durham University Gospel Choir is made up of students who are passionate about gospel music. The choir quickly grew from just 5 members to a fully-fledged choir. We can be heard performing at a variety of events across Durham, from busking in the Market Square, to singing in the Cathedral, college events and weddings. The choirs biggest achievement to date being 2nd in the National University Gospel Choir of the Year competition 2019.

Members are not required to be religious, nevertheless our ethos reflects the roots of gospel music: community, love and joy.
