The latest release on Nikko.Z's Dopamine White finds Vegaz SL & Dimel De Silva collaborating on a three-track showcase. Hailing from the progressive house hotbed of Sri Lanka, both Vegaz SL and Dimel De Silva have made their mark on the genre's global scene. A combined resume boasts releases via BCSA, Deepwibe Underground, Droid9, Sound Avenue and Transensations, while some of the world's most highly regarded DJs have championed their work. Having both appeared on Dopamine White previously, Vegaz and Dimel now make a welcome return to the label with their ‘Tundras' EP.

Combining their extensive forces, Vegaz and Dimel set the tone of the release with the title selection ‘Tundras'. Played out over eight minutes, a classically styled progressive groove sets the foundation for a bevy of trippy effects and wispy melodic fragments. Sitting at the heart of the track is an expansive break, complete with submerged beats, swirling noise and mallet-like clusters, all of which unite for a colourful crescendo and thrilling finale. 

Meanwhile, selection two ‘Tears of an Angel' finds Vegaz SL operating in solo capacity, moving the release forward with a deep, chugging groove and a wealth of cosmic creativities. Undeniably progressive, its indistinct vocal edits, spiralling motifs and clattering percussion blaze a trail into a near two-minute interlude. Tense and astral in equal measure, the break builds drama through misty atmospheres and otherworldly effects, while the vocal narrative continues to evolve as the thumping groove drops back in for a charged final movement. 

The third and final selection ‘Unspoken Feelings' puts a resounding cap on the release with a dark and mysterious vibe that is sure to bring life to your dance floor. Deep and fluid throughout, the duo's prophetic designs are illuminating, tactfully merging for a buzzing wall of momentous energy. Looking to bring greater emotional depth, the main break adds colour through muted keys, hopeful pads and cinematic style textures, before eventually breaking off into a thumping yet poignant finale.  It rounds out a stunning collection of music from Vegaz SL & Dimel De Silva, a pair of produdcers who continue to be two of Sri Lanka's fastest rising progressive music talents. Don't miss it

Next up and providing the collection's first collaboration are Rockka and Vishnu. Hailing from Nugegoda, Rockka aka Lakith Adikaram has been releasing his own unique style of progressive music for just over two years. Appearances on Droid9, One Of A Kind and Transensations sit as recent discography highlights, as he continues to refine his groovy melodic sound. Meanwhile, based in Colombo is Vishnu who has enjoyed similar success since his first release on Another Life Music in 2021. With a discography that draws on a variety of influences from deep house, organic house and techno, it is progressive house where Vishnu has ultimately found his home.
Now following releases via Balkan Connection's BC2 and Soundteller Records, Vishnu pairs with fellow countryman Rockka for their Movement Recordings debut 'Outliers'.

Gaston previously appeared on the label in 2019 as part of the "We Are The Future" compilation, while Aldi makes her debut on the label with this release. To further enhance the EP, remixes have been crafted by the talented artists EANP, Yahra, and Nau Squaglia.

Luca Abayan joins forces with Nightcolours to release his brand new Prisma EP. Comprising two heavyweight original proggers and remixes from Tonaco and Ayan.

Prisma is a snarling Prog monster. Stuffed to the brim with aggressive and very moody sound design, floaty ethereal vocals drift effortlessly creating an absolute monster. On remix duties is one of our favourite producers Tonaco. Taking things on a groove tip full of atmosphere and intricate percussion, it’s another winner from Tonaco.

Next up is Reset, a driving number sprinkled with delicate melodics and nagging synth lines. It’s another floor focussed destroyer. Bringing a different perspective on remix is Ayan who delivers a bubbling, glitchy wonder with just the right amount of grit 🙂
