Calypse is the electronic music project by Maura and Shana, Italian DJs and producers.  In 2016, the two meet at a party in Rome and start making music together. United by the firm belief in the power that music has to bring people together, they form Calypse, a new identity where Shana’s love for hip-hop and house music meets Maura’s passion for deep minimal techno. Influenced by the house music of the 70s’ and 80s’ and with by a profound knowledge of electronic music, the Italian duo’s sound is energetic and innovative. 
In 2017, Joseph Capriati acknowledges the girls’ talent and plays “Love 2 Dance (Calypse Remix)” at the WMC in Miami. 
In the following years, they sign with big labels, such as the legendary Nervous Records, Lapsus Music, Circus Recording, and Flashmob Records. In 2021, their track “Cafè Sonido” was released on Raw Thentic Music, and it was generally appreciated, especially by The Martinez Brothers who play it often during their sets.

Deejay producer & remixer, my DJ career began in 1990 in a local radio station and then continued in many Italian clubs.  At the beginning I was playing tracks of the 70/80/90/2000, Very strong in those years, but after the discovery of the underground music everything changed for me. In fact for many years I dedicated myself to playing and producing Techno & Tech House music and in addition to some Funky and Deep tracks for fun. In 2016 I started producing the first tracks of electronic music then I sent the demos to the labels in the techno music scene Between 2017 and 2018 the rst surprising results thanks to label Media Records / Firstplanet, Parthenope Recordings, Jsst Productions, Sonika Music, Beenoise Records, Nuzone Gears and Be Synth Records who believed in me and my music. Soon they will be out other tracks produced by Firstplanet, 
the first release is the single Homeland on 20 July 2018. In 2019, in total 
collaboration with Beenoise Records, we released seven new tracks, some of which were in Traxsource Essential and Techno Top 100 Charts, supported by world-famous DJs including Sander Van Doorn, Dr Motte, Big Show, Luigi Madonna, Richie Hawtin, Paco Osuna, Tim Baker, Marcantonio, Marco Carola and many others. Every month I play in the Beenoise Attack program an hour mixed in the official Beenoise Records podcast in the rolling week in many radio stations around the world: radio dance rome, inprogress radio, ibiza radio 1, atmotraxx radio, 320fm, fox radio Athens, and many others.
In 2022 I started collaborations with other labels, for example Natura Viva, World Sound, SMR Underground and others, and from 2023 to today with Sounds and Frequencies Recordings, Moiss Music, Moonlife Records, Chrom, Sounds of Meow, Baykonur, and producing different genres of House Music, Disco, Tech House and Melodic House & Techno giving me excellent results in the Top 100 charts of Beatport and Traxsource.
