Beany Sessions has grown over the last two years; momentum has come naturally with our ongoing residency at Red Rum in Fallowfield. 

The sole reason for us starting up this project was to promote local DJ’s and give them a platform to perform and harness their abilities. We wanted to give our parties an underground feel, a community atmosphere which we felt were lacking from other nights in Manchester. 

Combining our love for all music, based on a driving house beat we have now hosted a great 12 months of parties at Red Rum and can safely say we have made the venue our own, the basement’s low ceilings have made for a fantastic intimate venue and home.

Expect to hear genre spanning music from our DJ’s. Do not be surprised if Santana gets dropped, or prepare for the dancefloor to shake to the sound of tracks from labels such as One Records and Deep Edition.

The mainstay, resident DJ, producer and up and coming local talent Larry Jones has been integral to the rising fortunes of Beany Sessions. Without his passion and drive, we would not have succeeded.

Daniel Sanders and Gerardo Stretton are two friends with a shared love of House music, when you add this to their charismatic personalities the result is Class Enemy their DJ and production alias.

Both renowned as individuals on the Manchester House & Techno scene for hosting parties such as Mute! and DJ residencies with international clubbing brands like Sankeys and Hidden they have already demonstrated their ability to deliver DJ performances of the highest calibre.

This resulted inevitably in them playing events together and instantly recognising a chemistry, from there Class Enemy was born. A decision to call time on their event promoting and individual DJ residency commitments to focus on Class Enemy, ushers in a new and exciting era for this charismatic duo.

With releases on Lost Records, Red Lunar Records, Resonance Records, Loony Doggz Records and Disco Electronica this shows an aptitude for producing quality driven records packed full of groove.
