Here's almost a day's worth of music from women across the globe working in a variety of modes, a lot of which has featured in Bandcloud previously, some of which has appeared since these artists originally featured in the mails, and some of which is just new to me too. Club bangers, field recordings, sound art, experimental drone, all this and more.

On a personal note, today in Ireland women are holding a non-traditional strike day, demanding that the government call a referendum on abortion, specifically to repeal the 8th amendment, which states that:

"The State acknowledges the right to life of the unborn and, with due regard to the equal right to life of the mother, guarantees in its laws to respect, and, as far as practicable, by its laws to defend and vindicate that right."

The first track taken from Orlando Volcano and and Celestial Trax’s upcoming compilation Thru Our Eyes, Pt. 1, comes from Brooklyn’s Jay Boogie. Produced by Celestial Trax & Orlando Volcano, Hear Them Howling is deeply dark and darkly disturbed. Boogie crawls over broken glass, dodging gunshots as he knucks and bucks his way over the sparse, splintered, surreal soundscape.

"I'm excited to be showing the world this other side to The Body,” Boogie tells i-D. “We started recording this song maybe a year ago in Orlando's bedroom and now this whole project feels like an exciting start of something. I'm so happy to be a part of it."
