As of now, Three Hippos Deep is is a 2 piece consisting of John Konz on guitars and Ken Martinez on bass. All other instrumentation is currently programmed using Ableton. We strive to create a melting pot of rock, funk, electronic, hip-hop, and psychedelic, and draw our inspiration from bands such as Black Sabbath, Clutch, Galactic, Parliament, Rage Against The Machine, Holy Fuck, Lionize, and Pretty Lights. We would like to eventually add additional musicians to this project (particularly vocalists(singers and rappers alike), percussionists, keyboardists/organists, and maybe even brass players!) so anyone listening who is a musician in the N.Y area and likes what they hear and would be potentially interested in jamming with us please send an e-mail to threehipposdeep@aol.com.

"I Exist is a solo project of mine consisting of 9 relentless, uncompromising metal songs i wrote within the last 10 years following the breakup of my first band "KaedusRex" Everything in this project is written and performed by me except for the drums which were programmed using ableton software. I am currently the bassist/co-writer of the music project ThreeHipposDeep along side John Konz (who helped me produce the I Exist project and also co-founded KaedusRex with me) But listening to 3HD you may not realize that my roots lie within Metal. These songs are a testament to my metal roots and i feel represent the evolution of the genre, displaying elements of thrash, hardcore and death metal. I Exist also serves to pay homage to my most prominent influences such as Pantera, Slayer,  Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Testament, Exodus, Overkill, Motorhead, Cryptopsy, Morbid Angel, Dying Fetus, Nile..and the list goes on and on. It needs to be said that these songs were written for vocals as well as guitar solos but unfortunately never got around to adding either. I admit these songs are a bit on the long side so i understand if the lack of vocals and solos cause them to come off a bit drawn out and redundant.  Just try to enjoy them for the riffage! Expressing myself through my music, painting my pictures through my notes and using my melodies and progressions to tell my story.
