So... all my mates and my girlfriend were at Glastonbury last year and I was moping around at home feeling bored and gutted as I'd heard that Orbital were playing the Arcadia stage at midnight. In an effort to distract myself I hid away in the studio for the afternoon and this track was born (albeit with some small tweaks a few months later)... Feeling satisfied that I'd done something productive I drifted into a deep sleep, only to be awoken on the Sunday morning by the sound of five explosions coming from outside my flat. I walked outside to see police, fire engines, and billows of smoke. Turns out the Thai nail shop on the main road had caught fire... but that's another story...

Arcadia

This is a recorded collection of notes written by Natasha Rosling where she reflects on her direct experiences, pondering the connections between the interiors of the body and the land and the boundaries between the living and the dead. 

This was presented as part of the Wider body of work 'What Remains', for Odyssean Topographies at Hestercombe Gallery 2017-18.

The work was installed inside a lounge chair, upholstered in fabric designed by the artist, with a kaleidoscope of seemingly random objects, which slowly gain their significance through references in the audio.

Stanley Cohen defined a folk devil as someone portrayed as an outsider or deviant, blamed for society's problems; and a moral panic as the sensationalized fear of the folk devil, stirred up by mass media and moral entrepreneurs. This track is a haunted four-part instrumental harmony, inspired by his writings. Folk Devil and the Moral Panics opens and closes the new Bearcraft album, Fabrefactions, a collection of overheard ghost stories and half-remembered urban myths.
