Founded in late 2008, Mother’s Cake drew attention of the Viennese label GAB Music and got signed. Their debut “Creation’s Finest” (release-date: 26-10-2012) got featured by Ikey Owens († 2014, member of The Mars Volta & Jack White). Creation’s Finest created a big stir in Austrian music press and ensured Mother’s Cake a firm stand in the business.

The first single “Soul Prison” (17-08-2012) reached over 200,000 views on Youtube.

In 2013, they got awarded with the “Austrian Newcomer Award″ and played many sold-out shows including support gigs for Iggy and the Stooges, Omar Rodriguez Lopez Group, Deftones and Tito & Tarantula.

The “Endless Space Tour 2014″ led them to Australia in February 2014. They band was welcomed cordially in Down Under and successfully played 12 shows in 2 weeks. On April 4, Mother’s Cake released their album in Germany, played a tour there and announced their new video project.

“Off The Beaten Track” presents itself as a 45-minutes long movie that features a whole live-set of Mother’s Cake. It was funded successfully through a crowd-funding project and was officially released on July 17, 2014.

In fall 2014, Mother’s Cake supported Anathema on their Distant Satellites tour leading through 20 countries playing 42 shows in 56 days.

At the moment, the group is busy producing their second studio-album.

Die Band Crashing Birds – bestehend aus vier Bandmitglieder*innen – entstand Anfang 2015. Ihre selbstgeschriebenen Songs handeln von Liebe, Freiheit und dem Leben, ihr Musikstil geht in Richtung Alternativ Rock. 

We´re playing widely influended rock music. Our goal is to share the movies in our heads with the listeners just like other musicians did with us.  We´re getting deeper and deeper into music with every song we create.  It´s an awesome ride!

"Marzipan" is the first single off of Fauna Shade's debut full length Baton Rouge, written about a brief romantic encounter that singer Scotty Smith didn't want to end so soon. Like the song, the encounter started so sweet and easy but somehow perished like that corner plant that just didn't get water and never bloomed.

Fauna Shade is the music and sounds developed by frontman and Everett, Washington native Scotty Smith. Smith, now 21, combines psychedelia and pop sensibility from years spent experimenting, writing and recording tracks in his parents garage, located between the Puget Sound and Cascade Mountains. Joined live by drummer Richie Owen and bassist Derek Johnston, the band draws inspiration from early MGMT, Coco Rosie and T. Rex, while somehow forming a sound uncorrupted and free of pretense. 

This single is the first release from their debut full length Baton Rouge, recorded and co-produced by Jeff Southard at SWOON Studios (Night Beats, Tangerine) in Tacoma, Washington. Baton Rouge is out on April 28, 2015.
