Billows of steam rose through cracks in the rocks below his feet. With each step, he had to wonder how close he was to impending doom. Not 20 minutes before, our hero was deep in the heart of the Costa Rican jungle. The Bearded Man gave a half-hearted, nervous laugh as his guide told him about the deadly spiders that lied waiting for him in just about every nearby bunch of bananas. They hacked their way through thick vines with a rusty machete, and danger had never seemed so close at hand and yet so hard to identify. Aside from the sweat-stained heat, the sights and smells were intoxicating. After reaching a clearing, the pair were now climbing up the rocks on the side of Arenal, which was an active volcano at the time. The heat from the steam was impressive, but they forged onwards, fully aware that the volcano could erupt at any moment. Unfazed, they reached the summit, looking down onto one of the most awe-inspiring sights The Bearded Man had ever seen. The view from Up There was something else, and yet… all he could think about was whether or not that waitress would still be waiting for him later that night. Two hours later, the volcano erupted, filling the night sky with eery orange light. The Bearded Man was safely in his cabana of course, as one of his life’s mottos is: “Never be in the wrong place at the wrong time."

An exuberant collaboration with duo GTA, ‘Intoxicated’ is the perfect club track to kick-start a brand new chapter for Martin, as he looks to fuse his much-loved signature sound with a pinch of ‘Future House’ innovation. First heard by tens of thousands of party people at the 2014 Tomorrowland Festival in Belgium and met with a rapturous reception, the long wait is finally over for Solveig fans from around the globe. Alongside the original Solveig has enlisted the Amsterdam based producer Lucky Charmes on remix duties and doesn't disappoint. Lucky Charmes brings a blissed out and bass-heavy roller to the table.

Complete with a new image and with some huge plans for the year ahead, Solveig’s latest opus ‘Intoxicated’ will be released in the UK on the 24th of July.
