Breakbeat Paradise Recordings is back with another star-packed release &ndash; this time from discObeta, who has teamed up with some heavy hitters on the remix front for a funky slice of hip-hop breaks.discObeta has served up 2 epic funk fused originals and call on Fort Knox Five, Ross Go, Mined &amp; Forrest, BadboE &amp; Pecoe to get busy on some remixes.
Starting off with the title tune Down The Block which showcases discObeta&rsquo;s low-slung funky sounds with some well picked classic vocal hooks and smooth electro basslines. Fort Knox Five is coming in hot on the remix of Down The Block with an upbeat dancefloor twist to the original. They get the absolute best out of the vocal hooks while making it their own on by infusing their classic funky Fort Knox Five vibes that they are known and loved for. Ross Go is getting busy while diving into the classic goldmine of samples and serves up a fun and upbeat alternative to the original.
On the flip side we dive into some serious street vibes and big flows on the Yoobie Doo joint. Original cut gives more of the low-slung goodness from discObeta while Mined &amp; Forrest adds some well picked glitch and atmosphere to the equation. Label head honcho and funky breaks veteran BadboE gives Yoobie Doo a glitchy boom bap twist before Pecoe ending things off on a funky breaks tip with his uptempo funky remix.

It wouldn&rsquo;t be a real BBP year if we didn&rsquo;t have a new EP drop from our always reliable - always funky man: Morlack. As so many times before Morlack brings us the funky heat by going back to the timeless classics to pick out pieces to wrap into his own special style of electro bass funk.
The Closet&nbsp;Freak EP showcases the very best of the Morlack-style starting off with a big rearrangement of a classic soul jam on the Papa Was. Moving on to the title jam Closet Freak that brings out the big dancefloor vibes and boogie basslines with some rnb vocals to go with it.Plastic Love brings down the tempo a bit but the big groove remains on this smooth joint that elegant merges silky soul with electro beats and basslines.It Gets To Me brings it back to the heavier dancefloor vibes with some big classic rap flows for the win. Finally, we see another 2020 twist on one of Morlacks classic joint called Freakout that shows party breaks at its finest.

We&rsquo;re very excited to kick off another BBP year and what better way would there be but to drop another epic Ep from the always funky always reliable Pecoe. The For The Funk EP is Pecoe&rsquo;s 8th EP on BBP and its showcasing to perfecting the unique funky Pecoe-style that we have come to love since he dropped his debut EP right here on BBP back in 2017. On this EP we see Pecoe venturing into a the quick-chopped samples which flows perfectly with the clean electric funk sounds throughout all 5 jams on this EP.
Starting things off with the undeniably funky and finger-snapping title tune For The Funk which gives us enough groovy funk bass and guitars to light up any party. Following the funky business of the first cut, things are about to get seriously banging on the Make a Miracle jam which showcases the quick-chopped samples and some groovy rap vocals.
Moving on with the same progressive bass groove on the 3rd cut Hands In The Air, which introduces a really funky break and more of those sweet quick-chopped vocal samples. The party continues with maximum funk pressure on the Positive Vibes joint which brings out the big horn sections to go with some well-picked chopped reggae vocal samples.
Last but not lease we are rounding off the EP with the mellow funky anthem A Good Feeling which shows a new production side for Pecoe with mellow sync and keys which goes perfectly hand in hand with the main catchy vocal of the tune.
Breakbeat Paradise Recordings starting off another funky year with lots of upcoming digital and 7&rdquo; vinyl release to keep the funky partys going all over the world.

What a vibrant collection we have here from the team over at Big Fat Mama Beats, as they assemble their team to deliver a sizzling box of breakbeat remixes, under the 'Big Fat Remixes' title. Opening up, Mr Bristow arrives with the colourful horn flutters and metallic bass stabs of 'Body Roll', which kicks us off in a groovy zone, followed by the almost ska-like drum licks and glittering guitar scats of 'I Want Your Soul' from PulpFusion. From here, Sir-Vere delivers a spacey backdrop of blippy basslines and euphoric horn toots on 'Beneath My Skin', next to Nathan Green, who turns up the pace for the unpredictable percussive switch ups of 'Breakout', before One Dead Jedi arrives for a fiery finale. Just before the end of last year I teamed up with the great blog Life Support Machine (@lifesupportmachine-co-uk) to have a track included in their LSM Advent release which featured a free tune evert day in Dec! 

My track was a total remake of E.B.T.G's classic 'Missing' which I transformed into a nu skool breaks cracker. Ironically it dropped just a few days before the new E.B.T.G's new tune which is also on a breaks tip.
