Berlin is the city we call home. A place where musical inspiration wonders through the air and eventually reaches out to those who listen. We take good pride on our a&r department as we have discovered and pushed a good number of talented musicians from all over the world, this time we didn't have to go too far since its in Germany's capital where we can find SoKool. Mathias and Thomas teamed up in 2011 and since then they've been on the rise with releases in Heinz Music, Poesie Musik and Katermukke and they now deliver an impressive pair of incredible songs that will sure do great damage in dancefloors across the world. Teaming up with the potent voice of Mr Schug they create "Recognize", a feel-good journey with a high emotional content, one of those tracks that gives instant goosebumps. Full of soul and with huge synthwork it inmediately caught our ear, and we decided to bring on the guys from Ektschn (Beatamines + Mirco Niemeier) who add their groovy swing keeping the harmonic and vocal values intact in their bouncier percussive interpretation. Things get techier on the b-side with "Free Your Mind", with a darker deep atmosphere with bubbly synth-bass and great use of effects to create a mind-bending moment in those sweaty nights. We are happy once again to be bringing high standard quality music to the table, made in Berlin and for the whole planet to enjoy.

Rising star Kuo Climax’s EP on Emerald City entitled ‘Tomorrow’ features two profound originals with a stellar remix from fellow Spanish artist Dennis Cruz.
 
“In my childhood living with my parents we always listened to Hip Hop and R&B,’ said Kuo Climax of the EP. ‘I have attempted to mix these influences using my early memories as inspiration and I’m so pleased to see it finally released on Emerald City.”
 
Kuo Climax aka Felipe Jimenez Gálvez hails from Malaga in Spain, where starting out he quickly turned his event series at Pier 4 into a regular roadblock before using the shows as a platform to launch his own DJ career. Now going from strength to strength as an artist in his own right, Kuo has a stacked release schedule going well into 2017 and a touring calendar that spans Europe’s biggest clubbing destinations.
 
Madrid native Dennis Cruz made his debut in 2010 and has since made a name for himself as one of the most talented Spanish artists leading the way today, gaining an army of supporters including Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, Nicole Maudaber and Timo Maas to name a few. For his remix of ‘Tomorrow’ he dominates the dance floor with heavy rolling percussion, utilising the luscious vocals cuts to add that sensual touch.

Biography

10 years of dancing he decided he to start cutting music for his dance crew. And that is how it all began…from Daft Punk to Kraftwerk, Pascal explored all kinds of electronic music styles, in which he has the possibility to express himself with tracks like „How Never“ or „Swaggin“.

During the first two years, in which he established Beatamines, he created a large amount of tracks. By 2009, his first EP’s were published. In 2010, he performed his first national gigs. A first milestone was reached in the year 2011, when the first Album “in Motion” was published on Damm Records (2 * 12” Vinyl & Digital). The Album was repressed 3 times and reached #2 best album in Raveline Jahrespoll. Now even the biggest Labels had heard of Beatamines and his amazing talent : Keno Records, Stil Vor Talent, Katermukke, Moonbootique, and Lauter Unfug,… In 2013 Pascal had the honour of reinterpreting “The Planets” together with the Dortmund Philharmonics and Gustav Holst. He also wowed the crowds at the Fusion Festival, playing it twice in 2013 and 2016. Pascal next Big Strike was his 2nd Longplayer “Echoes” it was released on Einmusik’s own imprint Einmusika Recordings.

In 2016 Pascal started as A&R for the label Lauter Unfug which brought him directly to Luxembourg’s club, Studio 21, where he has now his own Residency with the `rememberthevibe` parties. In the past few months Pascal has been playing regularly at clubs such as Watergate, Kater Blau and Ritter Butzke Berlin. In 2018 he is celebrating a decade of his Project Beatamines.

Beatamines doesn’t just like to play with the same old CDJ’s when playing live, but also incorporates hybrid sets, with drum machines and synthesizers on stage. Pascal packs the groove of summer love into his music, underlined with fat baselines, pregnant claps and chunky melodies. If you get the chance to catch him live you really are in for a spectacle.

When Pascal is not gigging, he is hard at work mixing and mastering for Artists all around the globe, and on occasion; cutting hair for fellow DJ’s and friends!

Whether it’s deep or impellent, weirdly enchanted or crystal clear – Beatamines and Lauter Unfug don’t tie themselves down but still know where the journey should go: Onwards, escaping daily routines, straight ahead into this insanely liberating feeling, where the beat means everything and the thought of the
