Previous years on International Women's Day I was on the decks celebrating 'womanhood' with big crowds... This year is truly nostalgic missing those times!  The last pre-COVID gig I played last year was on the 8th of March 2020 at KaterBlau where we celebrated the day with a women-only lineup. The week after that life stopped, and all clubs in Berlin shut down.. Ever since life has been ups and downs, then ups again, then downs again and ups again... =] This mix ended up going in a similar wave! I didn't really plan it to flow so but I think it's greatly representative of the past months--from mood to mood, without being bound by genres or such!" - Love, GiZ @gizmusic

Here is my latest live recording of our last event "Konception - Erobos in Ekstase". This set features a dynamic mix of dark disco and indie dance tracks. It's a bit faster than my regular comfort zone, but it complemented both my playtime and the energy of the crowd exceptionally well. I'm truly delighted with this one—it's definitely a memorable performance.

„The sunken sea“ ist eine Mixserie, mit welcher Rolandson erneut deutlich macht, das er einer der Geschichtenerzähler ist, welcher sich nicht scheut unsere Erwartungen über Bord zu werfen und unsere Wahrnehmung auf eine Probe zu stellen. Mit einer ultraleicht anmutenden Feinfühligkeit fädeln sich  verspulte Tracks und verborgene Klang-Juwelen hintereinander auf und verweben sich letztendlich zu einem rolandschen Klangteppich, der Geheimnisse birgt aber auch einige von ihnen frei gibt. Jedes dieser Geheimnisse entspringt einem Momentum, einem Wendepunkt in der Wahrnehmung zwischen Sys- und Diastole, einem Schnittpunkt der Gezeiten in Raum und Zeit gleichbedeutend -  dieser mikroskopisch, für viele weder im erweiterten Bewusstseinszustand noch im Moment des Wissens, wirklich kaum wahrnehmbare Punkt ist der Moment, in welchem das Meer gesunken ist. 

Die Mix-Serie „Das versunkene Meer“ kommt einer verlangsamten Aufzeichnung von vielen Momenten gleich. „Diving in the quicksand - Tauchen im Treibsand“ ist die nunmehr 4te Aufzeichnung innerhalb dieser Serie, zu welcher Rolandson uns folgende Worte mitgibt: „Das Wasser, durch Wellen getrieben, will hin zum Meer. Der Fluss, wild - Dein Herz, es tost. Das Wasser, klar - Deine Sehnsucht, dich treibt. Der Fluss dich rastlos weiß - Dein Herz nicht stirbt, wenn es auf Reisen geht. Wer den Fluss versteht, weiß wie das Leben und nicht die Zeit vergeht.“
