Beater.gr presents the premiere of Rave Freaks In Isolation by Cosmo Lopez, which is included in the second compilation Sudor Vol.2 of Macro Hits. The purpose of this release, like the first one, is to highlight Latin American artists with tracks characterized by dancing vibes, modern, graceful air and energy that draws from the aesthetics of the art of urban graffiti. This one is distinguished by an enjoyable house mood with stimulating loops, which, in parallel, are "scattering" all over their daring, dancing "challenges" and hypnotizing us through an endless-summer pulse. Finally, the promising rather "full" in aspects sound manages to raise an "aesthetic bridge" between old and modern electronic sound currents, filling us with a long favorite euphoria.

Σκοπός του συνόλου της κυκλοφορίας, όπως και της πρώτης, είναι η ανάδειξη καλλιτεχνών της Λατινικής Αμερικής με κομμάτια που χαρακτηρίζονται από χορευτικά vibes, μοντέρνο, ανάλαφρο αέρα κι ενέργεια που αντλείται από την αισθητική της τέχνης του γκραφίτι του αστικού ιστού. Το συγκεκριμένο διακρίνεται από μια απολαυστική house διάθεση με loops που τονώνουν, «σκορπώντας» παράλληλα χορευτικές «προκλήσεις» και υπνωτίζοντάς μας με έναν ατελείωτα καλοκαιρινό παλμό. Τέλος, ο «γεμάτος» ήχος καταφέρνει να προσδώσει μια «αισθητική γέφυρα»  ανάμεσα σε παλιά και σύγχρονα ηλεκτρονικά ρεύματα, γεμίζοντάς μας με μια αγαπημένη ευφορία.

The primer of techno was barely dry or England already had its own variant of the genre: UK techno. Original Man by British producer Dave Angel is perhaps the perfect example of what that variant sounded like, back then. If only you knew where to find it. The single was released in 1993 on a record label that has long since ceased to exist.

Fortunately, Utrecht-based record label SoHaSo made this transverse techno-soul classic is available again, in a punchy remaster. With its juxtaposed rhythm programming and orchestral arrangements, Original Man still lives up to its title, even if it is 30 years later.

On the flip you'll find Quarter Pounder. With its nervous hi-hats and high paced rhythms, this seems like the perfect soundtrack for a highway chase between two roadhouses.

As a bonus, SoHaSo has supplemented the vinyl version of this EP with a rare Dave Angel track which also was released back in 1993 on French dance label FNAC. It's called 4th Symphony and ticks all the right techno boxes: strings, hihats and a melancholic melody.

ÆX014 kicks off with an old school rave class by Private Press as W.A.C., followed by a dark and drifting acid tripper by Parisian DJ and producer Emeline. Longtime ÆX family member Daniel Jacques brings his deep emotive and punching house once more where Deniro shows his love for dub-techno. Last but not least is a special Amsterdam connection, Sterac's 'P909' - previously released on AERA025 - remixed by Elias Mazian where he turned the original in a true minimal groove weapon.
