Hey you guys, always love the Mauro heavy video game soundtrack compositions from you all. Of course, I mean that in the most respectful and complementary way possible. I don't know what else to call this genre, though. Such a thrill the whole way through. Love that slick rhythm section, too, which must've been relatively difficult to get to sound that tight with the composition. Really impressive work from both of you guys.  Everyone adds some magic in here, though, of course. Hey my dear friends, love this. Way to go with it!

Today, as part of our aperiodic Instrumental Hump Day, we’re offering you something a bit different: here’s a preview of a side project we’ve been working on for a few months: a 🕹️Chiptune👾 album (we’ll let you know when it’s coming out, but definitely not before June)!
In this track (and in the others that will follow in this style), our guitarist and especially our lead singer focused on production and mixing, only playing a few notes here and there. Needless to say, it’s all a fully digital work, aiming to bring back that 80s vibe (with a splash of the 90s and our personal twist).

The Quiet Hunger is the moment the Abyss stops observing… and starts awakening.
After confronting the emotional weight of Ghosts of My Stolen Dreams, the protagonist wanders into a realm where the silence is no longer empty. The air feels alive. The walls breathe. The shadows tremble in anticipation. Something ancient and unseen has begun to stir beneath the surface of the dream-world.
Not attacking.
Not speaking.
Just waiting.
Watching.
Hungering.
This instrumental captures the cold realization that he is no longer alone.
Visual Concept
The artwork depicts a lone figure standing beneath a narrow column of blue light, surrounded by twisting, shadowy tendrils emerging from the darkness.

🎸We are a five-piece studio band mixing different genres and influences into our own sound.
Members:
Tom (vocals, occasional keys/guitar)
Mary (guitar, backing vocals)
Mauro (keyboards, piano, synths, winds)

Valerio (drums, percussion)

The band has existed since 2015, but we only started publishing on SoundCloud and other platforms in 2024. Many of the songs we’ve released so far are reboots of tracks we wrote years ago, in case you were wondering how we managed to release over 100 tracks in one year. Before 2024 we only published on our own blog (which is now gone, replaced by a new one we barely use), so our audience was limited to a few hundred friends and acquaintances.
We’re not professional musicians! We have other jobs, and we don’t even consider ourselves musicians, at most entertainers and awareness-raisers.
