The King's Voice

This is a another song written during the pandemic in 2022. It's about the joy of reading! I know we don't read hardly anymore that's why we are pretty ignorant about science and math, look it up, don't take my word for it!! I still enjoy reading, it sparks my creativity, and opens up my imagination! It's really fabulous the trips we can make with our imagination by just reading. I whipped up seveal tales and weaved them all together into a Rock song. It is also about what happens to unread books that just turn to dust on our shelves. (Read H.G. Wells "The Time Machine" or at least watch the 1960 film!). I guess we will soon have no need for libraries!  Just I-phones! This is an adventure song, my Indiana Jones song!

      The video is brand new with loads of eye-candy for everybody. I thnk I finished it a few months ago. It'll take you on several exciting adventures!! I hope people enjoy it, we must continue to read books because when we stop reading books, then we will stop having independent thought and we become nothing more than brain dead sheep!  I'm sure that's what some evil people actually want! (Look what they did to Jimmy Kimmel!!). Read a book before they censor them and take them away! OK, since you guys are enjoying the guitar (or rather, the guitars) in "Do What You Like" 🎸(https://soundcloud.com/beatingedge/do-what-you-like) so much, and since you were also curious to actually see the mess that created this sound, here you go! This is basically the “making of” the song, mainly based on a part that was later discarded, complete with a rather comical little sketch and Mary at some point asking Tom to switch to another effects chain (switch, switch! Well, that’s how she puts it!), plus a bunch of other nonsense we’re deeply ashamed of and really shouldn’t be releasing to the whole world ! Oh well… goodbye decency, and goodbye ears for you all (it’s all in English and the laughs are interplanetary… the only word in Italian is Tom’s “basta!” at the end, which means “enough!”)!😂
Oh, by the way, some of you asked about the effects chain we used. Well, maybe we’ll update this description later (time permitting, with our day jobs and three other songs in the making!), and reveal a bit more! Cheers!🫶

Our earthly names (and nicknames) are Tom ("Lucifer" - lead vocals and occasional keyboards/guitar), Mary ("Vampira" or just "V" - guitarist and backing vocals), Mauro ("Maux" - keyboards, piano, synths and winds), Davide ("Dave", "Quiet D" or just "D" - bass and synth bass), and Valerio ("Brad", drums and percussions).
