Heavily influenced by the New York House music scene and the world famous disco club, Studio 54 (think Quincy Jones, Giorgio Moroder). This pack brings the best of both disco and house to keep the hits flowing one after another.

Packed with over 1 gigabyte of funky sounds, this massive library includes swinging keys, energetic basses, punchy drums, and expressive guitars.

These lively sounds were played by 3 professional Jazz musicians from Hamburg while improvising under the direction of Concord Audio Don “Felix and his good friend DJ Suro (Pioneer Funk & Hip Hop Dj & Producer from Hamburg). Recorded in the studio with top of the line microphones on an ADT (German SSL) with outboard gear, the best of Solid State Technology. These sessions were then delivered into the hands of Basement Freaks, for his expertise creative touch.

Basement Freaks has been one of the top players in the international Disco Funk scene since the 2010’s, when they headlined Saturday night at Shambhala Festival. With a reputation as one of the most prolific bootlegers, expertly producing over 300 mashups and gaining over 5 million plays and numerous downloads. Basement Freaks clearly knowns how to select the perfect samples to make a hit track. This EP has been on the cards since Swim INC won the Crash Party remix contest a few years back and his production skills have gone strength to strength since. Meaning, that now his bass lines can officially make the elderly defecate when played through a reasonable sound system. Luckily, he’s medically trained, and this kind of occurrence doesn’t faze him.

Being down under and skilled with glitchy sound design, it was only right he teamed up with Cuttin’ It Fines man-mountain Kenny Beeper. Powers combined, these two have managed to cook up 3 delicious neck-snapping melodies that will blow speakers and entice mosh pits wherever they are played. However, this EP does come with a warning. Any DJ doing sets at retirement homes best be packing some wet wipes, because it’s about to get messy!

Earlier this year saw the release of the first ever Fort Knox Five and Lazy Syrup Orchestra (LSO) collaboration, Start The Ride, a mid-tempo, trippy, g-funk meets hip hop, floor burner.  Both artists performed jam-packed summer festival tours that saw their tune tearing up dancefloors and getting the crowd singing along in the LSO live sets. It’s safe to say the song has made the rounds and become a funky summer anthem. Now its time to strap on your seatbelts and get ready for a pair of amped up remixes that take the ride to full speed!

First up is Bristol, UK based production duo TWOGOOD who flip the mid-tempo original into a high energy, 303-laced funky house banger.  Their euphoric synth work and seductive basslines are peppered with acid lines and plenty of vocal effects to keep your ears busy and your booty bouncing.  This one is a guaranteed dancefloor floor filler, use with caution.

Vancouver’s own Average Citizens have been making waves on the West Coast festival circuit and have become crowd favorites with their booming house sets.  After Fort Knox Five remixed them two years ago, the DJ/Production couple returns the favor with a wicked bass house monster.  Complete with dramatic builds and breakdowns, this is a non-stop rave house delight, another killer remix destined to wreck dancefloors.

For both TWOGOOD and Average Citizens this is the first time they have done a remix for Fort Knox Recordings, and we are honored to have them remix Start The Ride.  With the original track being a groovy head bobber, these high energy remixes, take the ride ALL THE WAY UP!
