We are ecstatic to be kicking off the 2022 Techgnosis Records lineup with a ferocious showing from the always-impressive Aleckat, who first made his label debut exactly 2 years ago. We celebrate this auspicious occasion with the release of 'Scritchy', a truly exceptional mini-album comprised of 5 brand new creations, with 2 of those getting a proper remix treatment from scene icons Miles From Mars and a collaborative rework from fellow Australian artists, the talented Tomchilla and Lektrk. Aleckat's signature playful-yet-serious blend of progressive and psychedelic techno is on full display here, with each piece boasting a strong thematic flavor and sound design. IGNIS FERALIS, the second chapter in a four-part cycle, evokes the elements of a cursed and decaying world — a planet collapsing under its own corruption, where the future flickers uncertainly and the abyss draws closer.

Here, fire becomes sound incarnate: a percussion of flames striking against silence, each spark a relentless beat. It swells like a melody unraveling in distortion, crackling as it spreads. Its heat is a low vibration that shudders through bone, its dance a hypnotic sequence of minor tones, merciless and entrancing. At its heart, the blaze is a mechanical rhythm of devastation, primal yet precise, consuming everything in its pulse.
