Regresando por ahí por el 2015 un buen día experimentando y buscando la manera de reconvertir música antiguo en sonido monofónico (un solo canal) a stereo, descubrí que existe una manera de separar por frecuencias casi todos los sonidos de una pista de audio siempre y cuando esta esté en un formato decente, es decir al menos en unos 44.100Hz, y buscando en la red encontré la banda completa al parecer ripeada de reel y con un sonido bastante decente pero con mucho ruido (noise), el ruido típico que tenían las cintas, tanto las cintas compactas como las de reel, entonces sumando las técnicas de restaurado de pistas mediante software (Adobe Audition) más el experimento que descubrí de separar las frecuencias de sonido, logre crear un Stereo, en una excelente calidad…

Y bueno el resto es historia, me di el trabajo de remasterizar la banda completa, para tenerla para mí, (presumirla con mis amigos) y ahora por fin en mi propia web la comparto con ustedes, este fue un trabajo que me tomo alrededor de 6 meses, ya que habían veces que terminaba con los oídos agotadísimos.

Established and loved member of the Shall Not Fade Family, Felipe Gordon turns up the jazz influence on a fresh new EP for the label. The producer and multi-instrumentalist based in Colombia is known for his complex compositions and infectious beats, and Keepin’ It Jazz does not disappoint.

The record kicks off with ‘Analog Only’ - a highly textural beat forms the core of this bass-heavy groover that cruises along at a laid back pace, drawing the listener further in. Similarly gentle but hypnotic, ‘Continuous Develop’ has the heady ambience of the chillout room, but Gordon brings in his intricate dreamy instrumentation and acid hints to great effect. The second half centres a tasty bass solo that will get all heads nodding along. The title track is the chunkiest of house rhythms paired with delicate jazzy piano, a gliding summer party anthem. ‘Looking At Your Reflection In The Water’ is artful, perfectly emotive and gently rising like a tide from poolside piano into a hip-moving danceable pulse. The record closes out to ‘What You Say?’; funky house with attitude, a rude bassline and heavy swagger.
