Duna is an Argentine rock band🇦🇷. The group was born in 1985 and was made up of Alejandro "Villa" Villanueva (guitar and vocals), Luciano Del Bene (bass and vocals), Raúl Arbelbide (guitar and backing vocals) and Marcos Marafiotti (drums).

It had a sound that was somewhere between post-punk and new wave, a very eighties aesthetic, and you can find certain influences and/or similarities with Soda Stereo, Fricción and La Sobrecarga, national bands of the same time, and with The Cure and Duran Duran internationally. They recorded their debut LP at the Moebio Studio, one of the most expensive in the city, released by the DG label.
they act as Paul McCartney's support band in the shows that the ex-Beatle gave in River Plate Stadium at the end of 1993.

Among the band's most popular songs are the hits: "Final Morocco", "Modern Mind", "Taxi in New York", "Digital World", among others.

Duna es una banda de rock argentino. El grupo nació en 1985 y estaba integrada por Alejandro "Villa" Villanueva (guitarra y voz), Luciano Del Bene (bajo y voz), Raúl Arbelbide (guitarra y coros) y Marcos Marafiotti (batería).

Tenía un sonido que entre post-punk y new wave, una estética bien de los ochenta, y se le pueden encontrar ciertas influencias y/o similitudes con Soda Stereo, Fricción y La Sobrecarga, bandas nacionales del mismo momento, y con The Cure y Duran Duran a nivel internacional.
