I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Toronto bassist Jim Sexton and saxophonist Brodie West in the summer of 2015. 

The sessions were recorded at Threshold Recording Studio (Hamilton ON, Canada) by Michael Keire, and mixed by Ben Eyes at the University of York, UK.

A Dance For South Sudan

This piece was inspired by the wonderful Ethiopian singer Gigi and the comparison of Ethiopian rhythm called "Slow 6/8" and Sudanese rhythm called "Merdoom".

This track was inspired by the wonderfully intricate South Sudanese rhythms called "Galawala" and "Bola".
