One-take Wonder.  ;)  Eight tracks, unedited, one take each -- give or take a false start or two. Original music and lyrics. Entirely solo.  Dragged 5:34 out of a three line poem.  A girly song.  Girly has always been a stumbling block.  My "girly" voice is thin.  This is what happens when I don't belt.  And have a scratchy throat, because Austin.  Ah well.  One take.  And, go!

Eyes Like Wood (May 7th)

It started with some jazzy chords, but then with the piano solo, it ended up sounding like a Burt Bacharach tune. Oh well, I guess Burt has implanted a chest splitting alien in me.

All instruments played by Dan. Most done in one take except for the vocals with which Dan is never happy.

A Halloween song I wrote for the wee ones, featuring the "Brotherton Family Band" of backup singers!  The re-release of this song has been long delayed... the original had my then-three-year-old singing along, and was too precious to replace!
