i was swallowed whole by the arms of one who always knew my name
and he said there would always be shade for me to rest my head in his heart
and i call him father he calls me friend, sometimes i dont understand where this began
the loveliest dance.
i was born into the clouds that some, will never recognize and they ask how do i believe i will fly without wings, i reply, that i trust in the dance.

you can bet ill keep your secret, hidden liquor in the closet,
and i know you think they'd never understand just why you bought it
you shut the windows, keep the light out, hide and seek is part of life now,
but can your soul come out to play again, or was it broken.
cuz i know she was your sunrise, your dreams came true in her blue eyes
but have you never realized, that she was my sunrise too.
lets be honest now its different, storm clouds never take their rain back
and somehow you've missed all the rainbows and the clouds have all departed.
you put your smile on, its time to lie again, will you ever just be honest,
can your soul come out to play again or was it broken.
