I guess I'd have to describe myself more as a bedroom DJ than one who plays out. I'm into all genres of house but  mostly play progressive but containing elements of tribal, techy, slightly vocal/ soulful, fresh, chunky  pumping.. sometimes even electro.
My first go behind the decks was in 2003 using my girlfriend's 1210's. At that time my biggest influences had come from going out clubbing in places such as Trade, DTPM and Fiction to name a few. So back then I was buying and playing tunes by  DJ's/ Labels such as BK, Ian M, Karim Do Not Bend Records  Kaktia, Spinball, Recharge - hard house anfd not most trance.  After a couple of years of murdering many a good hard house tune I started wanting to play something different. 

We'd started going to a club in London called French Kiss which was run and owned by the infamous "French Doris". She had a host of talented female DJ's playing for her including Lisa German, EJ Doubell and Queen Maxine.. The music policy was underground and sexy tribal progressive house and I loved it! She even included male guest DJ's of which one of them was Gonzalo. A friend of mine PJay probably had the biggest influence over me. He is always bang up to date with his music and all of his mixes are great. PJay gave us a mix by Paul Heron and after listening to that and PJay's mixes as well as going out to Fire and I never bought hard house tune again.

I played out for the first time in 2006 in the main dance tent at Cambridge's gay friendly outdoor event called Pink Festival. I've played out a few other times since but couldn't commit to anything regular.  Now spinning tunes is mostly done at home for the enjoyment of it. I aim to put a CD together every now and then rather than trying to play out. But I shall never say never to ever playing out again.

Favourite DJ's :- Sarah Griffin (Internet DJ), PJay,  Paul Heron, Gonzalo and Sharp Boys. However there are many other great DJ's who i enjoy and respect. 
Other music I like:- Massive Attack, Morcheeba and Zero 7, Stanton Warriors, Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters, La Roux and my most favourite

PRODUCTION

CINEMATIC
My production is intuitive, electronic diary of current mood. I draw inspiration from my surroundings and each cinematic track is created within one, live session.  I make unstructured tracks and I don't follow any rules.

TECHNO
I am releasing a set of EPs called RAVING DISGRACE during 2025 under new my alias Møkki . Working on new remixes too. My techno is combination of  sounds with industrial, urban edge. Techno tracks are inspired by Rave the Planet (Love Parade)experience in Berlin 09.07.2022 and I have to mention Trade and UK hardhouse scene from the 90s; London rave scene will always be my source of inspiration, but obviously Berlin I always love love love.

Currently I am working on sound design describing the world I see it.

MY HISTORY

Møkki held residency the infamous queer promotion DYKE HARD 2016-2022. He is highly influenced by TRADE and  Berghain, 2 most famous queer clubs in the world. Berlin techno scene in general does it soooo well and Helsinki UG scene. In 2009, I played for TRADE@MOS and other big promotions like Smartie Partie.

For most, I am well-known of having held residency at THIRST BAR in London SOHO (under alias dlassso),where I introduced dirty sounds to more commercial crowd. I have played from warehouse parties to my own promotion HOURS alongside Djs like Jo Mills(Circoloco), Natalie Coleman(MOOCH), David Jimenez(Orange), Fillth and Splendour, Little Andy(Detroit Starzz),Alex P and Lisa Loud(to name the few), and have played in most clubs in London.
