Hi. I’m Scott. 

If you’ve ended up here… well… here’s a bit about me.

I started a band in high school with 2 of my mates. We went through various band names: Blunt, 2 Stars Left, The Astrobelts and Serenity.

Throughout the years of playing music we had different line ups going from a 3 piece to 4 piece band swapping out members as we went. The original members that stayed playing together was myself (lead vox/lead guitar/songwriter) and Roddy (Drummer/songwriter).

Eventually we disbanded (no pun intended) and went our separate ways.

I gave up writing music for a while (around 15 years) because I became a Dad of 3 wonderful kids and a husband to the best human being I know, my wife Natalie.

Towards the end of the COVID lockdown pandemic my awesome brother gave me his old Mac and some recording equipment. 

One night I was sat bored, looking across to my dusty guitars that had become relics. A muted silence of the music and dreams that I once had.

Then the realisation hit that not only could I go back to writing music but I could also record it the way I hear it in my head at conception. Not the diluted version.

Anyway… I turned on the Mac and unmuted the silence…

Argonaut is a Melbourne dance floor dynamo igniting both the queer and mainstream music scene with his brand of high-energy vocal charged dance music. A true dance floor chameleon, Argonaut's deep knowledge of music spans disco and house and tech to electro clash, pop and Hi-NRG; this keeps audiences energetic as he curates the greatest night on the dance floor you've ever had!

An ARIA Club Chart DJ holding current residencies at iconic queer venues POOF DOOF and Sircuit, he's a staple at LGBTQI+ events nationwide and has graced stages at major festivals including Splendour In The Grass, Pitch Music & Arts and Beyond The Valley. His most recent career highlight headlining the forecourt stage at the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Party playing to over 5000 party goers in February 2023

As a producer, Argonaut has built a career on reworking pop hits into club-ready cuts for his dance floors, providing unique and signature Argonaut moments that have set his sound apart. His unofficial bootlegs for artists like Dua Lipa, Scissor Sisters, Kim Petras - and of course Kylie - have been streamed over 500,000 times and played far and wide by queer DJ peers locally and across the pond. His debut release “Fame” was released in June 2022 on Extrovert Records, under the iconic Australian dance label Vicious Recordings.

Argonaut is also the musical face and co-producer of the 'Bar Kylie' dance event which tours nationally which has lead to residencies at Arts Centre Melbourne and Geelong Arts Centre during their Kylie Minogue fashion exhibits. Faced with the COVID lockdowns in 2020 Argonaut quickly took his live shows and that of Bar Kylie to an online arena reaching audiences across the globe, clocking in over 500,000 views on Facebook and Twitch (and counting!) since March 2020.

Whenever Argonaut’s on the decks it's a total vibe - whether at the club, at a festival, in a bar or being streamed at home – his sets are full of joy giving everyone freedom to dance and express their true self on the dance floor.
