jDiggz, aka Director Diggz, is a Toronto-born creative powerhouse whose career has spanned music, film, and culture-shaping moments. A prodigy from early, he was producing beats and writing full songs by age 10. By 18, he had a national hit with “Puush It Up”—a record that helped define Toronto’s early 2000s sound & launched a genre-blending career rooted in originality.

As co-founder of Star Bwoyz Productions, Diggz produced music for Canadian icons like Kardinal Offishall, Melanie Durrant, Shawn Desman, JB, and DonMillion. His global breakout came when he co-wrote and produced the music for Smirnoff’s Raw Tea Partay—the first-ever viral YouTube ad, earning a D&AD Yellow Pencil, one of the most prestigious awards in advertising.

Known for seamlessly merging rap, dancehall, and pop, Diggz dropped hit after hit—“Hypnotic,” “Gimme Dat,” “Make It Hot,”—and made waves with a debut album that featured a young Drake, with much of the production handled by OVO 40. He toured internationally with The Game, Akon, and T-Pain, and won Independent Artist of the Year at the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards.

In 2015, Diggz pivoted to filmmaking full-time. As Director Diggz, he has since built a reputation behind the camera, directing music videos, documentaries, and commercials for global stars including Alkaline, Sean Paul, and Ne-Yo—proving he’s as visionary with a lens as he is with a mic.

After a decade behind the scenes, Diggz is now returning, with new releases on the horizon.

Once, in an interview, Derrival was asked: Why be a musician in the year 2017 when the odds of success seem so low? Their response was simple. “You start before you know the odds, and by the time you figure it out, it’s too late.” For Derrival there has been no other way than living their dream. From taking the stage at Squamish Valley Music Festival, to being one of three bands chosen for the inaugural Juno Masterclass, and even getting a nomination from the Western Canadian Music Awards, Derrival is a band that has worked tirelessly to meet and overcome every challenge in their path and, as a result, has been one to watch from the very start. As a young band that effectively grew up as musicians their songs are often critiques or call outs about what it means to live in a modern world. Their eclectic mix of pop, rock, and electronic sounds characterize a generation that had to learn how to find art and meaning in the seemingly endless noise of the digital age.
