And just like that, our dynamic duo from Down Under return, the intrepid super heroes, Anthony Pappa & Jamie Stevens back for a Seladorian sequel, united in their cause against dance floor mediocrity, steadfastly defending the honour and spirit of Acid House.  

Their super powers of course are plain for all to see. With decades of experience under their collective belts, there’s not much they haven’t already achieved. But the never ending quest for the perfect beat still lights their fire, and we are always grateful to be the lucky custodians of the next chapter in their oeuvre. 

This EP is lead by’Like A Satellite’, a rocket fuelled epic that will light up the night sky, leaving glorious, intoxicating chemtrails in its wake. ‘Hold you Back’ then follows effortlessly in its slipstream, all groove ’n swagger shooting from the hip, straight from the heart. Mirrorball Sleaze anyone? 

And if all that was not enough to renew your faith in humanity, we’re also treated to the perfect subplot in the form of Luke Brancaccio & Gai Barone’s intergalactic re-rub of ‘Hold You Back’. A pulsating, hypnotic throbber from outer space.

So, we’ve got our latest showcase primed and ready to go and face a dilemma. We have no less than eight (count ‘em) new tracks to tell you about, a stunning sonic smorgasbord that summarises all Selador holds dear. But with collective attention spans allegedly getting shorter, our poor befuddled minds crushed between vapid soundbites and oppressive ‘long reads’ – how do we do them all justice in one concise press release that hits that ‘perfect length’ sweet spot? 

Our solution? To get you as excited as we are about this bountiful batch of titanic tuneage we are limiting ourselves to ten adjective-heavy words per track – all without using the words ‘banger’, ‘anthem’ or ’piledriver’ (the boss noticed our over-use of that last one). Bedrock are proud to return to an absolute seminal classic. One of the biggest prog anthems from the turn of the century: ‘Apollo Vibes’ from Pole Folder & CP. Iconic in every sense, it captures everything that was exciting and innovative about progressive house in the late 90s/early 2000s. 

20 years later its timelessness is celebrated by an all-star cast of remixers. Recruited by label founder John Digweed for their strong sense of melodic and love for cosmic grooves, each act brings a whole new twist the space-bound original. Petar Dundov adds a whole new rocket booster as a vital new top line emerges into the mix, giving the trip a whole new sense of navigation. 

Next-up is another label family member Tara Brook with a take that stays true to the original. Digging deep into Pole Folder & CP’s iconic bass pulsations, she ups the tempo and adds a contemporary sense of energy while paying full respect to the blueprint. 

Finally Phi Phi and Manu Riga’s new Kayinda project makes its Bedrock debut with an exciting subverted conclusion. Lowering the tempo for a deep, sexy, swinging groove, once again the elements of the original are all in place but the arrangement, flow and focus bring it fully into the future… Ensuring Pole Folder & CP’s exemplary original lives on and mesmerises dancefloors for another 20 years. 

Complete with the original, in all its 11 minute glory, there’s plenty of rocket fuel left on this one. Ready for take off?

Hailing from Los Angeles, Rinzen is an electronic artist seeking to build entire worlds with his music. Dedicated to the pursuit of wonder, Rinzen combines mind-melting cinematic sound design with authentic techno production to create something that is awe-inspiring.

Now, on the prestigious Bedrock imprint, he releases his 'Magical Realism' EP, a trio of forward-thinking tracks with experimental futuristic sonics. Kicking off the EP 'Love Interest' combines rumbling industrial kicks with melodic synths and eery echoing spoken vocals to create a gorgeously deep and unique piece of music. The next track, 'Magical Realism', introduces low basslines and suspenseful synths.

The final track of the EP 'The Alchemist' features a stabbing bass foregrounded by ambient vocal samples building gradually to a colossal and euphoric breakdown primed for early-hours packed out dancefloors.

Premiere: Sasha & Lake Turner - Nalo [Last Night On Earth]

'A long-time and much-loved cornerstone of Selador's extended family, we are delighted to welcome back the zeitgeist-surfing talent that is Just Her.

A regular on many era-defining labels (from Anjunadeep to Crosstown Rebels), we are especially proud that Just Her has entrusted us with what we consider to be her one of her most accomplished releases to date.

The two brand new originals on show pick up where last year's chart-topping 'Will We Ever Learn' left off. 'Upon the Horizon' once again seeing Claire herself on vocal duties, her sweetly melancholic delivery sitting atop a veritable chugger, all drenched in sumptuous melody. Whilst the breaks driven 'This Life', with its haunting piano refrain and clipped vocal snatches, sounds like a 90s breakbeat classic put through a 2022 electronica blender.

And as if that wasn't intoxicating enough, this fearsome threesome is completed by a remix we've had to sit on for a little while, but which has been causing maximum excitement at Selador HQ. Watergate Berlin resident DJ, Jamiie has been on our radar for some time, and the aforementioned 'Will We Ever Learn' seemed like a great fit for a Jamiie remix. And so it has proved, as she delivers a wonderfully atmospheric peak time version excursion set to be heard on all discerning floors for months to come.'
