Big Bells Records proudly celebrates a milestone with its 100th release – Reincarnation, a Progressive House journey crafted by German producer Monuloku, with a stellar remix by label favorite Chris M.

Reincarnation marks Monuloku's debut on Big Bells Records, but his musical story runs deep. Behind the Monuloku project is Sven Seib, a veteran producer from Darmstadt, Germany, whose career began in 1995 with Trance productions that found airplay on the renowned German station Sunshine Live. Over the years, Sven's sonic identity evolved — from the hypnotic drive of Trance to the refined grooves of Minimal, Deep, and Progressive House — resulting in the creation of Monuloku.

On Reincarnation, Monuloku delivers a rich, atmospheric Progressive House experience — lush textures, deep basslines, and a hypnotic melodic flow that invites both dancefloor movement and introspective listening. The original is complemented by a remix from Chris M, the Indonesian-born, progressive craftsman whose previous Big Bells releases have established him as a label mainstay. Chris M reimagines the track with his signature deep progressive touch, layering warm harmonics and subtle rhythmic shifts for a captivating late-night interpretation.

Release No. 100 is not just a number — it's a statement of the label's journey and commitment to underground electronic music. Reincarnation encapsulates the sound Big Bells Records has become known for: melodic, immersive, and timeless.

Having contributed the excellent ‘Mauna Loa’ to John Digweed’s landmark ‘Bedrock XX’ compilation, Hannes Bieger now returns with his dynamic debut EP for the label. As one of Europe’s most in-demand mixing engineers Hannes has built an untouchable reputation, with an exhaustive client list that includes some of the biggest names in contemporary house and techno. In 2017, after 11 years in the world of mixing and mastering, Hannes decided to shine a spotlight on his creative talents as an artist, emboldened by years of experience, a renewed zest for production and a lifelong romance with electronic music. 

Since then, Hannes has focused his energy on producing his own music and building an unforgettable live show. A debut EP and follow-up for Steve Bug’s Poker Flat, releases for Audiofly’s Flying Circus, Alex Niggemann’s Aeon, and a remix for Monkey Safari, alongside his ‘Bedrock XX’ contribution, have seen this masterful German artist rapidly recognised as a talent that cannot be ignored. Now, his four-track ‘Stars EP’ raises the creative bar ever higher.

The title track is a wistful, pensive vocal trip showcasing the amazing Juan Hansen from Buenos Aires, whose soothing voice is the perfect juxtaposition to Hannes’ drama-tinged composition. The past couple of years have seen this supremely talented, trained composer/musician/vocalist, rapidly becoming legendary in the clubs of Argentina, guided by an exemplary ethos of mixing genres without prejudice – if you haven’t already, check Juan’s recent ‘Kobalt EP’ collaboration (BEDDIGI124). ‘Stars’ is a masterclass in subtle genius with a distinct emotive edge, swirling with delicious energy and teasing acidic motifs. It also comes in an equally engrossing, stripped-back ‘Dub’ version for those less vocally inclined.

‘Scoria’ is a pacey, sinister cut with contagious energy and unsettling atmospherics, further highlighting Hannes’ deft creative skills. The track’s dancefloor-driven attitude and complimentary brooding arrangement results in an entirely distinctive individualistic take on the techno blueprint. The highly hypnotic ‘Titan’ is a gloriously jittery ride, featuring layers of spine-tingling electronic wizardry over an infectious percussive groove – a perfect finale to an exceptional EP.

Release Info: 
Following his successful Collider EP last year on Yoshitoshi along with his remix of Luzon's classic 'Manila Sunrise', Khainz is back and this time with a bag full of gems. We're delighted to announce the Swiss wunderkind will be releasing his third artist album (and first since 2012), Fingerprint, on Yoshitoshi in June of 2019. From this upcoming album we have extracted the Reflect EP; a teaser that features three of the album tracks, each representing Khainz's production range and studio wizardry. 

We kick things off with Next, a perfect intro track that sets the stage for the energy to come. The track begins with slow and heavenly synthesizers, teasing listeners for a while with fluttery melodies before dropping into one of Khainz's signature, stomping grooves. Beautiful phrases continue throughout, making Next the kind of track that makes dancers close their eyes and feel every moment. Next comes Reflect (no pun intended), a tune you may have heard in an episode of Yoshitoshi Radio, as it's been a staple of Sharam's sets for months. It picks up right where Next leaves off, with a dark, impending vibe that develops into a huge melodic techno banger. A mysterious vocal hook appears throughout the track which is sure to get stuck in your head, as anyone who's heard the track thus far is aware. Finally, it wouldn't be a Khainz release without some hard-driving techno, and Reconnect delivers on that front. The tune is impeccably produced, each drum hit and bass sound carefully sculpted in Khainz's sonic laboratory for maximum force. This one will find a happy home in the crates of DJ's who need a secret weapon for peak moments.

If these three tunes are a preview of what's to come on Fingerprint, then we're truly in for something special (and, having had the privilege of hearing it, we can assure you that's the case). Khainz continuously sets a high bar for both the quality and quantity of his productions, churning out amazing tracks like a machine. The eight edition of the „Picture“ series is hosted by Dutch duo Tunnelvisions.
Founded in 2016, the DJ- and producer-team has seen a somewhat stellar ascent in the scene in the recent time, as their positivity-focussed musical approach has been incredibly well received by audiences across the globe.
This approach is also very present in their own productions, which are laden with retrofuturistic sound elements and their own, tremendously catchy vocals.
Diynamic Music’s „Picture“ series is a document in time, showcasing an artist’s current creative output in order to allow the listener to visualize and understand the artist at a certain moment. It is not an album format, but far more than merely an EP.

“Picture” is various dancefloor-oriented facettes of one producer, shaping the imagery that ultimately results in the listeners mind.
