Some things in life cannot be measured by numbers or translated into words. Having the privilege to officially remix a track by Hernan Cattaneo is one of them. Among this select group is the Brazilian producer and multi-instrumentalist BRVNOV, who has just delivered his own interpretation of Love Is Coming Back. The original track, released in February 2023 featuring the Egyptian-Canadian duo Husa & Zeyada, presented Zeyada’s hypnotic vocals — which were preserved and carefully repositioned in this new remix. The remix sets an intrinsically hypnotic mood from the start, guiding the listener through a sensitive and immersive journey. The break, wrapped in melodic pads, creates a moment of absolute trance and seems to suspend time before the drop, which is luminary and expansive. This is BRVNOV’s third release on DOC Records, consolidating not only his place in the label’s catalog but also the trust and respect of Gui Boratto. With impeccable technical polishing and a steadily growing creative signature, BRVNOV shows himself fully in tune with the Progressive House territory and ready to continue pushing its limits.

He's co-owner and A&R for Munich-based label Plattenbank and has long been in demand as a remixer and producer for top labels like Bedrock Records and Moments. Chicola is equally accomplished and infl uential as a long-time vinyl obsessive, globe-trotting DJ, and producer of sophisticated sounds that draw on his pianist background and off er rich musical harmony.

The pair open with the meticulously crafted ‘Neon Bible,’ a poised, ever-shifting cut built on subtle chord progressions and dubbed-out drums sprinkled with delicate percussive touches. Suspensory and hypnotic, it radiates a cosmic beauty that gently uplifts while drawing you deeper under its spell. 'Galactica’ takes a more extroverted turn, its shimmering melodies and intricate synth sequences weaving a lush and luminous tapestry. The drums stay weighty and elastic to ground the track while the atmosphere brims with hope and a refi ned sense of celestial escape. Interpreting The Future

Bedrock are proud to welcome Martin Eyerer, Mihai Popoviciu and Markus Homm to the label with their excellent double-header ‘Get Down / Ok Cool’. 

With all three artists working with Martin’s mangement agency, its a suprise to discover that our new brace of tracks are the first from a debut and impromptu studio session. “We stepped into the studio after a gig together in Markus’ home town” says Martin. “Right from the start it was an easy and flowing session, bouncing ideas off each other.”

Having built the bones of both, the tracks were then bounced between the trio to completion. Renowned for their organic grooves and perky percussive skills, Mihai and Markus gelled perfectly with Martin’s peaktime proficiency to deliver two bruising Bedrock hits. 

Less is most definitely more on lead track ‘Get Down’. A brooding bassline, spritely but sparse synth melody and spoken ‘Get Down’ vocal work together, with a sprinkling of shimmering cymbals, to create a dark yet warm atmosphere. Dim the lights, launch the strobe, find a speaker and Get Down.  On the flip ‘Ok Cool’ lets us know that everything’s gonna be alright by wrapping us tightly within its buzzing bassline and drifting synths. 

A fine Bedrock debut from our band of musical muskateers and we can’t wait to have them back.

A transcendent state in which there is neither suffering, desire, nor sense of self. Our next excursion brings us to the idea of ‘Nirvana’. Self described as psychedelic techno, Franz Alice Stern leads the release with a trance-like, meditative track. The powerful bass-drum maintains energy, while contrasting pads and arpeggios add a reflective mood. 

Miss Melera makes her Polymath debut with a deep and melancholic trip. With important releases on Chapter 24 Records, and Berlin’s Traum Schallplatten, we felt Nirvana was a fitting theme for the artist. As uplifting as it is dark, the track builds momentum through an infectious groove. A break makes space for new musical ideas, until a final climax ends in a melodic release. 

Marseille duo, Fathers, take a different approach. Organic instruments feature in this compelling piece, led by bass guitar. Gentle melodies flitter in and out of the ear adding to the refreshing mood.
