Rising out of Argentina's progressive house underground is Guille Cornejo aka Antrim. Long a favourite of the genre's premiere tastemakers in Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, the Cordoba resident also lays claim to releases on Sudbeat Music, Hope Recordings and his own Or Two Strangers imprint. With a sound that stretches from the deeper, dreamy spectrums of house, to the tastefully melodic confines of contemporary progressive, Antrim now makes his Replug Records debut with 'Trip To Red' alongside a remix from Orsen. 

In an odyssey that spans ten plus minutes, Antrim commences the journey with warm, punchy beats, electric rhythms and metallic hits. The introduction of a pulsating groove heightens the senses as fuzzy designs and elegant harmonies descend over the framework. Emotive chord changes further the narrative, building anticipation with each successive loop and perfectly setting the stage for a memorable lead. Euphoric yet charming, it's a cascading theme for the ages, almost surreal in nature it's youthful energy gets lost in a wash of colourful harmonics, before one final break resets the groove for a percussive finale.
 
Amidst progressive music's elite guard lies Replug's Orsen. Alongside Cid Inc, the UK born, Austria based producer not only owns and manages the label but is an artist of substantial merit. Regarded as one of the genre's choosiest producer's, Orsen's discography is both astute and enduring, showcasing releases on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and US conglomerate Proton Music. Ending 2018 with a stunning rendition of Dmitry Molosh's 'Sacra', Orsen now presents his first production of the year with an inspired take on 'Trip To Red'. Always a creative remixer, Orsen deconstructs the main elements into newfound themes for what sits as an ideal complement to the original. Atop a warm, full bodied groove comes effervescent phrasing and buoyant arpeggios. It's a remarkable sonic marriage and one which makes for an energetic yet meditative journey, elegantly peaking through sizzling modulation across two breaks, before an exhilarating final act puts a cap on this creative gem. 
 
With 'Trip To Red' Antrim continues to build on what has been a breakout year for the Argentine, one which continues a course of artistic growth while adding nicely to an already impressive body of work.

For our 50th release, Modern Agenda is pleased to welcome Hacobb to the label with this four track EP called Dialogues. Aptly named, our connection with Hacobb started on the right foot through a face-to-face meeting in Athens a few months ago. We had already signed this Ep but had the chance to meet its maker too! We would love to tell you more but Hacobb is still pretty elusive, we couldn’t even find his bio. He is Scottish Greek and a talented producer, that is what we know for sure. 

The Dialogues EP is made up of four solid melodic dreamy and tracks that are introspective and creative. The cadence varies along with each track’s intensity, making this an EP of super tunes to fit any set at any hour. A little lighter than some of our releases, this one will take you on a soundscape journey from the second you press play.

We welcome him on Einmusika together with Audio Junkies. “A Major Minor“ comes with a clear groove and a dreamy and hooky key stabs. The melody is warm and uplifting combined with metallic parts, which guide you through the whole song. The basic theme has it’s peak in a reduced break full of magic. D-Nox & Beckers delivered a trembling remix which is remarkable from the first bar. It is bringing the summer nights back into our clubs. The B-Side is “Nobility of Time“ which leads into a shaky production with a big soundscape in the back and decent voice progression.

Surfing those uncharted sound waves, Something Is Happening is an utterly hypnotic 12-minute throbbing futuristic journey, that constantly surprises and delights with twists galore. The Spanish duos uniquely esoteric, organic attitude also shines bright throughout their lunar landing inspired Strange Music From Dark Side Moon. This is exceptional forward-thinking House music at its finest.

Lopezhouse first came to the attention of Bedrock fans when John Digweed included Guy Js excellent dub remix of Crosses & Angels on his Live in Brooklyn opus. Their debut November Clouds EP followed in the summer of 2017 and was met with much critical acclaim. Since then, they have carefully navigated their ever-rising popularity and gained huge respect with further excellent releases on the likes of Exploited, Plattenbank, Sincopat, Suara and Vondreib, before returning to Bedrock to conclude a highly successful 2019. Lopezhouse are most definitely artists to watch into the future.

German techno titan, Timo Maas joins forces with the Stripped Down label for a brand new single ‘Utopie’, backed with remixes from Digital 21 & Stefan Olsdal and Joe Metzenmacher & Borka & The Gang. Timo Maas has been a constant presence on the electronic music stage since the mid Nineties, rocketing to global super stardom off the back of his hugely popular ‘Dooms Night’ remix. Season’s on the white isle, a constant touring schedule and a raft of releases for some of the best labels followed, with music dropping on the likes of Perfecto, Bush, My Favorite Robot, Mobilee and of course his own Rockets and Ponies imprint. Now, the Hannover based artist joins forces with Claudio Ricci’s excellent Stripped Down Records for his latest musical offering which features vocals from Rottler. ‘Utopie’ is a stripped back and hypnotic affair that marries spoken word vocals over a sparse but enthralling soundtrack. Subtle sound design and understated drum programming make this a deep and discerning cut that is sure to bring new fans to both label and artist. The first of the remixes comes from Digital 21 & Stefan Olsdal , which sees the Spanish producer team up with the Placebo bassist for something rather special. Maas has in fact a long standing relationship with the band, having remixes previous Placebo singles and featured singer Brian Molko on his own productions. Here, Olsdal and Digital 21 deliver a mesmerising mix that fuses Batucada style rhythms with a powerfully cinematic string section, making this a a hugely dramatic opus. Finally, Joe Metzenmacher & Borka & The Gang turn in a dark edged and techy reworking that provides a perfect closer to this superb package. With more remixes of ‘Utopie’ to come later in the year, and Timo’s remix of Rodriquez Jr.’s ‘Blisss’ dropping on Mobilee soon, this is shaping up to be a super productive year for the musical maestro.
