The next track, 'Magical Realism', introduces low basslines and suspenseful synths.

The final track of the EP 'The Alchemist' features a stabbing bass foregrounded by ambient vocal samples building gradually to a colossal and euphoric breakdown primed for early-hours packed out dancefloors.

Tokyo Fan Club – the captivating new collaboration from acclaimed producers Luke Brancaccio, Gai Barone, and vocalist Kiki Cave – present their debut album ‘We Live Electric’, released on John Digweed’s Bedrock Records on 18 November.  

Following the remix of Tokyo Fan Club ‘Horses’ from renowned Greek producer Echonomist, as supported by Dubfire, Andhim, Super Flu, Jimi Jules, and Adana Twins, ‘We Live Electric’ showcases Tokyo Fan Club’s hypnotic and unique sound, presented over two parts as mixed by Bedrock label boss, John Digweed. 

Part 1 is a dancefloor focused, ‘80s / ‘90s influenced half, whilst Part 2 presents more of a soundscape, ambient album to highlights both sides to Tokyo Fan Club’s sound. 

Tokyo Fan Club said: “We Live Electric started as an idea, a concept for outpouring all our favourite electronic music influences into one cohesive sound which grew into something that consumed us through lockdown. It’s emotive, it’s delicate, it’s unique and our most honest mature work to date. An amalgamation of three people’s visions perfectly rounded into a soundtrack for our time.”

John Digweed said: “Amazing album from Tokyo Fan Club which the guys have worked really hard on over the past two years, resulting in a futuristic album with a hint of nostalgic sounds that just works so well. The addition of the more electronic based reprises just adds an extra dimension to the album that will be a wonderful soundscape to those blissed out nights and days.”

Evocative, poignant and just on the right side of epic; we guarantee these tracks from the Fayer Records boss will have your dancefloor like emotional putty in your hands. 

‘Indenait’ takes the lead with soft guitar plucks, harmonics and stately 4/4 drive that sets the scene for the rainbow of twinkling vapour trails that follows. A crisp, mournful arpeggio then takes the lead on the breakdown, bringing with it a whole new level of heavy heartedness. A sunrise moment guaranteed.

‘Love Attack’ follows suit with a rising sense of palpable urgency and yearning. But this time it’s developed over a slightly pacier, shuffled rhythm that eventually builds into full rolling breakbeat. Backed up with bulbous subs and sinewy acid lines that weave the synth elements together, once again Imbernon drives us into a moving melee of emotions and feelings that explodes on the eventual pay off. 

If you’ve heard John or Edu play any time in the last few months, you’ll already know just  how exhilarating these tracks truly are. Designed for long scorching summers, built to last forever; this is the timeless music that Bedrock has built its name on.

Each edition of the Four To The Floor series, now in its 16th installment, always presents four tracks that are some of the strongest secret weapons from the sets of Solomun.
Opening up the record is Maceo Plex’s “Mutant Magic”, which gets the engine going with deeply pounding percussions and otherworldly synth dabs and vocals.
Up next the sinister sounding “Plastic Head TV” by Fairmont, a driving and dystopian melodic techno track.
Track number three is “Louisville Lip (Abaze Edit)” by Nico Garreaud, a Tech-House anthem with rapid drum patterns and energizing arpeggiators.
And lastly is dreamy Melodic House tune called “Princept” by The Vinyl Depreciation Society, a very versatile piece that experiments with an insane amount of sounds over its main structure and with that, rounds off this 16th edition of Four To The Floor.
