Producers are the backbone of any label; developing supportive and genuine relationships with our artists is the core principle of TOR's development. Our 'Amis' series is an ode to the figures that we feel are at the foundation of the label's journey thus far.

To kick off the Amis series on TOR, there was truly only one man for the job. Wassu will always hold a special mantle at the TOR imprint, as the man who inaugurated the label with his Andu EP in 2020. Since then, the New Yorker has turned heads with a string of prolific releases on the likes of Anjunadeep, All Day I Dream, and When We Dip XYZ. With each passing project, Wassu's mastery of warm melodies and boastful basslines deepens, showcasing the ever-evolving sound of the wizardly Wassu.

It's safe to say that Wassu has outdone himself on this one, welcoming a widespread community of producers into the fold. He grabbed the baton & ran with it, sourcing a bounty of material for the debut of Amis. More than anything, this collection of music represents the fact that Wassu is a man of the people; one of the most important characters in the deep & melodic scene. He brings together artists from all corners for our debut Amis project - longtime collaborators, new faces, inspirational acts, studio partners, and burgeoning partnerships all align on Wassu's Amis.

The multi-platinum Grammy-nominated DJ, producer and songwriter Zoo Brazil is one of a rare breed of artists that co-exist in the underground and commercial sphere as a producer and songwriter. With signings to Bedrock, Anjunadeep, Get Physcial, Global Underground, Renaissance, LNOE, Cocoon, SCI/TEC, Monaberry and many others labels showcase his raw, uncompromising sound to great effect, but his wide spectrum appeal has also seen him remix everyone from, Lana Del Ray, Steve Angello, Fatboy Slim to James Holden, as well as compose music for Hollywood movies, US and UK TV shows to music for opening ceremony 2012 Paralympics in London, UK, and success as a songwriter for Kylie Minogue and many others, But stil the heart and  ears close to the underground music scene.

Opening with ‘Wagoon’ intense rubbery bass and sparse percussion draw the listener in immediately as low tones give the track a tribal feel. Ebbing and flowing with ease, the journeyman storytelling keeps you hooked throughout. Next up ‘Forbidden Days’ leaps from the speakers vibing hard. The real power of the track is its perceived simplicity and universal appeal. A tour de force. To round out the package, a dub version of ‘Forbidden Days’ sees Zoo Brazil strip the track back for a darker, more percussive journey.

Brian Cid's Endangered Records reveals its first release of 2019, and continues its mission of championing fresh new talent from around the world.

Hailing from Zurich, Soma Soul combines cinematic sounds with techno & electronica production, and is musically inspired by the kind of nature found in cold, rural areas. His first release was at the end of last year on Jonas Rathsman's Elements label, and was supported by the likes of &ME and BOg.

'Borderlands' is filled with melodic vibes, big driving drums and synths. It's a massive sounding track and one that can fill a big room with an equal amount of emotions.
