Both Alex and his label had a standout year in 2021. Church also runs Configurations of Self and produces with James Welsh as Common Factors, so is well respected for his work in the underground. It takes in everything from IDM to breakbeat, techno to ambient and always with a signature sense of adventure and classy sound design.

His first outing of 2022 is another accomplished one. Masterfully melodic opener 'Intuniv' pairs curious synth sounds with crunchy percussion and bulky broken beats. It's music to take you into another dimension. 'Aripiprazole' is another hugely original track that goes deep into the cosmos. The drums are catchy broken beats once more, this time with sonorous bell hits ringing out into wide-open spaces. 'Rapid Cycling' remains on a deep space exploration with mysterious leads seducing as you travel on a playful bassline. Spoken-word vocals arrive through the clouds as if half-remembered from a dream and add to the psychedelic quality. Last of all, 'The Black Hole' wants you to move your body on the lithe bass and glowing keys. It's cosmic electronic funk rippled with pensive melodies and is another standout track from Church, this time welcoming back Canadian artist juSt b, with whom he collaborated in 2020, for a dark vocal narrative.

Intuniv’ is another fascinating EP from this always adventurous producer.

After the highly successful Miami releases and with all three CD's of the series completely selling out, Bedrock are extremely proud to present their first ever Underground Sound of Ibiza album release. 

The double CD features a poolside/daytime vibe on one disc full of laid back balearic beats perfect for those summer days featuring exclusive new music from the likes of Pig&Dan, Charlie May and King Unique alongside some special new versions and takes on some of our recent releases from The Japanese Popstars, Jimmy Van M and Oniris and of course the ambient version of Jemmy's "Waterllo Blues" which caused a huge stir when it was broadcast from the Transitions 500 Miami boat party. 

The second disc takes a more uptempo clubbier / night time journey and takes in 10 exclusive new tracks from the likes of Marco Bailey, Sasha Carassi, Misstress Barbara and Marc Marzenit amongst others, there is also a bonus remix of the classic Guy J single 'Lamur' which has been remixed by Sebastien Léger.

Art piece: Mechan 9 

Mechan 9 is the newest creation from Tyler FuQua Creations.  It is a giant fallen metal robot that is half-buried in the ground.  Over thirty five feet in diameter and six feet tall at his heart chamber, Mechan 9 is shrouded in mystery!  Decode the strange text on his body to reveal the secrets of not only his past, but of the universe as well.  Mechan 9 was built by an amazing crew and with the help of a Burning Man art grant in 2016 where it made its debut.

Today we travel to a beautifully shaped metropolis filled with neon lights, old-fashioned manners and cutesy cartoon characters, don't blink, otherwise you'll miss something fascinating. Telling his story is Tokyo's very own Hiroyuki Kajino, and with a career that has spanned across almost 40 years, we are certain your horizons will be broadened during this tale. 

Before many of us had even stepped foot into a club, Hiroyuki had been sharing his mesmerising sounds across Japan and USA and paving the way to become one of Tokyo's most exciting and influential artists in house music.
