Tokyo Fan Club – the captivating new collaboration from acclaimed producers Luke Brancaccio, Gai Barone, and vocalist Kiki Cave – present their debut album ‘We Live Electric’, released on John Digweed’s Bedrock Records on 18 November.  

Following the remix of Tokyo Fan Club ‘Horses’ from renowned Greek producer Echonomist, as supported by Dubfire, Andhim, Super Flu, Jimi Jules, and Adana Twins, ‘We Live Electric’ showcases Tokyo Fan Club’s hypnotic and unique sound, presented over two parts as mixed by Bedrock label boss, John Digweed. 

Part 1 is a dancefloor focused, ‘80s / ‘90s influenced half, whilst Part 2 presents more of a soundscape, ambient album to highlights both sides to Tokyo Fan Club’s sound. 

Tokyo Fan Club said: “We Live Electric started as an idea, a concept for outpouring all our favourite electronic music influences into one cohesive sound which grew into something that consumed us through lockdown. It’s emotive, it’s delicate, it’s unique and our most honest mature work to date. An amalgamation of three people’s visions perfectly rounded into a soundtrack for our time.”

John Digweed said: “Amazing album from Tokyo Fan Club which the guys have worked really hard on over the past two years, resulting in a futuristic album with a hint of nostalgic sounds that just works so well. The addition of the more electronic based reprises just adds an extra dimension to the album that will be a wonderful soundscape to those blissed out nights and days.”

Bio Anglais:
Casnik (Nicolás Castillo) is a young Argentine DJ, originally from City Bell, La Plata. Since he was a child he felt music in a special way. He began to experience everything he felt inside through movement, taking dance classes and going through various musical genres to learn the essence of each one and understand the different states of mind. At the beginning of 2018 he began his career in the dj world, setting himself the premise of transmitting what music provokes in his senses and generating in the public that magical connection with the melodies he selects. During 2019, he has shared the booth at events with top-level national artists such as Elio Riso, MatiasSundblad, LeFrak, Bodeler, Jay de Lys, Cordoba, Super, among others.  In 2020 is where he began to connect with new genres such as Progressive House and Melodic House, whose sounds have led him to venture into more emotional and deep melodies to continue perfecting himself. In 2021, he moved to Tulum, where he began to open new horizons and continue to fulfill his goals, playing in clubs in Playa del Carmen, Holbox and Tulum; where he had the pleasure of being part of the line up with international DJs such as the Pan Pot duo, Roy Rosenfeld, Marcel Dettman, Armen Miran, Gux Gimenez among others.

Kagami Shikō was a Japanese poet, considered one of the ten outstanding disciples (Shōmon jittetsu 蕉門十哲) of Matsuo Bashō. He was in turn the master of the famous poetess Fukuda Chiyo-ni.

Originally from the present-day Gifu Prefecture, Kagami Shikō became a monk at Daichi-ji Temple, and in 1690 he became a pupil of Bashō, later accompanying him on some of his journeys and recording his last will in 1694.

After Basho's death, he kept travelling around Japan, writing several essays on haiku and collections of writings until his death in 1731.
