Volume 02 of the Northern Groove Association Podcast comes from the Northern Groove Association co-creator Balrog.

Leeds-based Balrog is rapidly becoming a well-known name on the techno circuit. Having headlined shows across the UK and Europe with a focus on his own style of industrial groove, the development of the Northern Groove Association, alongside co-creator Sawyl, is a means to get back to the raw essence of underground techno with a focus purely on groove-ridden sounds.

This mix gives a flavour of what to expect from Balrog when he steps up to the decks at the first Northern Groove Association event, which takes place on 10/07/22 at the DBA in Manchester.

ALU Podcast 016 by Konstrukt Alliance

Konstrukt Alliance is a Rotterdam based artist that has a passion for groovy techno with melodic influences.

Since 2015 he is active as DJ/Producer and played a lot of shows in the Netherlands and abroad under a different artist name. For example he performed at Toffler, Kompass Klub, Maassilo and Soenda Indoor Festival.
In the end of 2019 a group of friends decided to organize events and produce music together. The new project 'Konstrukt Alliance' was born.  

Konstrukt Alliance were running their own Rotterdam imprint: DNA_rec. In the past years the label released a lot of EP’s of upcoming talents and established names in the nowadays techno scene. The label was a startpoint for the careers of many Dutch techno artists. For example: Remco Beekwilder, Noneoftheabove and Deep Dimension.

During the corona pandemic, the group of friends went their own way. The name Konstrukt Alliance has survived and since 2021 until now music has been released on labels such as: Synergy Records, Innergate & Everyone on Acid.
Konstrukt Alliance devote himself on finding his own sound, mastering new techniques and not to go along with the hype of the day. With an effortless transition between hard hitting groovy kicks and hypnotic sounding melodies he tries to tell a unique story at every show.

TLP101 is brought to you by @roan-sound , a Spanish born, Amsterdam based up and coming DJ.  Raver since a very young age, Røån developed an unconditional love for the techno scene.   Such love started to grow and evolve into his interest for learning the art of mixing. His ever evolving sets are based in high energy, fast bpms, acid, groove and industrial sounds, heavily influenced by the Dutch and Berlin scene, taking the listener on a journey through his experiences and his vast music library every time he goes to work.  He is starting to make his way through the Amsterdam techno scene playing in raves, smaller clubs and intimate venues like John Doe, 8sixA, Amsterdam Most Wanted Radion Station, Sexyland and many more, as well as with a lot of interesting projects, collaborations, sets and productions coming for the future.
