Born and bred in the UK, Tim has been integrated in the music industry and electronic music scene for more than 40 years. Initially starting as a mobile disc jockey back in the late 80's his craft and love for underground music has no bounds. His passion for music, parties, dance and celbration of life led him to promote his own parties in London way back in the noughties (wooshbangwallupfunk, groovealicious & state of play)

Tim also was responsible for A&R and Licensing on no less than 5 major Platinum selling DJ compilation albums. He also worked at record shops in London, Tunbridge Wells and Brighton and Oxford, and ran a clothing store in Swindon and Bristol.

He has also performed at renowned events and esteemed venues such as Obesssion, Universe, The Big Chill festival, Kerfuffle, Wiggle, FaceIIFace, Give festival Glade Festival, Zap, Zen, and other clubs in London & various underground warehouse parties.

Now living and working in Bucharest and a key asset to the 3SO festival and Twisted Olives Bar in old town Bucharest, Tim keeps on pressing on with all things musical and dropping beats to those who appreciate the underground sounds

Fell in love with dance music tripping the light fantastic at the Embassy Club in the 70s. Collected a vast roomful of dub disco and soul tunes that suddenly came into their own in the mid 80s when the first raves exploded into our consciousness. Luckily managed to score a great party flat in Ifield Rd Chelsea and occasionally had a few mates over for a dance (if you were there you know what I'm talking about). Started hosting GIVE! at The Fortress in Kings Cross and 'Woy-Oy' on the MV Cam Leopard at Chelsea Bridge in the late 80s, started 'Kimberley' in the early 90s and 'House of Honey' in the Naughties.

Played at tons of great places including: HoH - Give!, Woy-Oy, Kimberley, Harvest, Thunderpussy, Desert Heart; Womad, Glastonbury, Bestival, Sunrise, The Whitehouse, Ravenous, Paramount, Koshka, Fly, Aura, Sunset Ashram (Ibiza), Tender, Lotus, Cultural Virus, Megatripolis, Pendragon, Seductive Alchemy, The ICA, Wilderness Festival, Rustlers Valley (South Africa), Save the Rhino (Kenya), The Backyard (Thailand), TIP (Goa), Rift Valley Festival (Kenya) and Wajaya Beach (Sri Lanka) 

Experimental journeys

We met in a field on the Isle of Wight. We laughed a lot. We fell over. We got muddy. We fell asleep listening to acid house mixtapes. We raved to Sleaford Mods & Missy Elliot. We ate rice pudding out of cans with plastic spoons. And we realised that Anth & Debs was our destiny. We are having the best fun with multiple genre overload. Feel free to share the joy. Justin Cookee has been collecting 7 inch vinyl since the late 70's, mixed cassettes since the 80's. Learnt to mix in mates bedrooms in the summer of 1990, then performed live bass in bands since the early 90's,  has been producing and dj'ing funky phat dance music ever since. In 97 he was also heavily influenced by underground house music at legendary London parties,
