Kappa Wam returns to 2022 with work developed over the past
year. The goal of this selection of tracks was to capture a new African spirit that can be identified by the underlying percussive rhythms of Mzansi (South Africa).

Drenched in slow house grooves and warm melodic textures, DJ Kappa Wam takes us on a journey of a newly developed African sound with European influences in the mix.

With a diverse cultural background like Kappa Wam himself, the sound pushes this very idea of a global throw-together of dance music.

Scarlett is a talented DJ, Selector & Radio Host (Base FM: Run With The Wolves), member of Friendly Potential & NinthWave Sound System. Scarlett has played & slayed a lot of our favourite gigs & dance parties here in Auckland over the years.

Scarletts knowledge of dance music is blatantly apparent here and this comes from(in our opinion) her great awareness of artistry, culture and atmosphere from all realms 'Dance Music'.

We would also like to note that Scarlett is a wonderful role model, promotor, event organiser, friend and dancefloor weapon!!!

B2BO Presents : Amamelia

We have been enjoying Amelia's music for some time now and have been so excited to have her involved with our mix series as we had only seen her briefly play at Whammy Bar in Auckland and was so curious what her selections would be like. 

This excitement expectedly turned to satisfaction and joy as we listened to her Amamelia (Breaks Mix) that she thankfully provided us to share - An energy we have not had on the show yet and what a way to get it poppin!! (FIRE)

A bit of background if you are not familiar with her work - Amamelia is the musical project of Amelia Berry, a musician and songwriter currently based in Auckland (NZ).

Amamelia's music combines breaks normally found in Jungle & Drum & Bass with a sugary synthetic pop sensibility.

Outside of 'Amamelia', Amelia can be found creating ambient soundscapes in caves as Old Chips, playing in queerbo pop-punk band Babyteeth and performing as one half of synth pop duo Fimo. In the past she's been the mastermind behind the romantic jangle of Polyester (fka as Kip McGrath), and one third of queer DJ trio PWB. She is currently host of 95bFM's illustrious chart show, the 95bFM Top 10.

Azure has approached the genre of 2-Step on B2B003 to lay down his take on the sound. Azure's naturally lush & rhythmic aesthetic is strongly embedded into the tracks along with a strong focus on bass & punchiness to really be enjoyed in a club setting.

We have been following Azure for what feels like a decade almost. Through Soundcloud chat we used to talk and share music and show off our latest mixes & tracks and in his case, productions. It's so awesome to be able to help share this release and showcase the magic that Azure continues to provide from his home city of Christchurch, New Zealand.
