As time goes by taste seems to change and evolve. I wouldn’t put the accent so much on change but I guess things mature with age. Almost reaching the 50th recording, this mix will air on my birthday! Not quite 50 yet but getting closer and still listening to a lot of music I used to love when I wasn't even 20. Those formative years laid the foundations for what I am playing today: a strong cocktail of cosmic, ambient, tribal, dubby techno all held together by the powers of trance. Always keeping an eye on the past but looking towards the future... Let’s see if we can reach 100 and if the fix will still be the same?

Halloween, an uncanny 13 years ago ~ New mixes are on the way, but in the meantime here's a fun oddity recently unearthed from a hard drive.
It was recorded 2009 in a bar called »Gulasch« that I liked a lot when I had just moved to Berlin. A dirty little beer-spilling, bolognese mouth-greasing, vodka-breathing universe.
Wanted to reach 666 minutes but got too wasted in the end with my buddy Simon Wald-Lasowski… It's got everything: Lots of hits, swish Traktor FX, hellishly tipsy mixing and shitty mp3s ~ Hope you enjoy x 👻🫠

The way he manages to find the links between completely disparate styles of music and weave them together to create life changing moments and rich narratives is what really solidified him on the scene, funny how 20 years of experience can have an effect, huh?

There, he began a mix series of pitched down cinematic journeys called 'Safari', often constructed in many sonic layers. He's a true Gemini, always up for some mischief and new adventures when travelling with friends and like-minded peeps. He hates waiting, certainly in queues. His only phobia is of spiders above a certain size, which will def occur in this mix at some point. Furthermore, it's again a fierce collage concept. A sultry, mad, flaming, desperate river of no return.....

» This sonic landscape is a musical odyssey into a distant realm and its hidden memories — a tribute to nature's relentless brutality as well as its beauty, to an everlasting cycle of of extreme conditions that shape an unforgiving landscape. This month, Vladimir Ivkovic pays tribute to French DJ and music obsessive Alexis Le-Tan, whose disco edits are the stuff of legend. He has reshaped vintage gems via the Les Edits du Golem imprint since 2007; around the same time, Permanent Vacation tapped him (along with co-conspirator Jess) to put together the much-loved Space Oddities compilations, which collected rare European library grooves from the late ’70s and early ’80s. More recently, Le-Tan teamed up with Joakim and III-Studio as Full Circle, another edit-based undertaking devoted to celebrating choice selections from the original Goa sound. Originally hailing from Galicia and with a long stint in Berlin behind her, Alicia Carrera is a graphic artist and music explorer. Her vision has been cultivated in smoky bars, second-hand buckets and underground publications. Perhaps those could be the reasons why her sets always scape from a common place. Her musical obsessions embrace genres such post punk, dub, psych or experimental electronics among other sonic passions that led her to create the fanzine Zauberstab in 2014, dedicated to unusual sounds. 
Perceiving the music as a way of self-emancipation, her sonic approach has no boundaries. These are some facts that led her to play clubs and festivals all over Europe, building her own reputation as a DJ. She also co-organizes party series Curva Imposible in Barcelona event that explores the most enigmatic margins of music in unique spaces.

As we approach the end of year and Christmas celebrations I thought I should share this mix we released with Good Morning Tapes earlier this summer. 

The 'Trip to Knowhere' is a new mission. Our sounds haven’t changed, but as this tide spits us back out on to an uncertain shore, our knowledge and ambitions realise the potential of a world where No can become the New Know, and it’s a place for us all to find. It could be infinite locations, where the dust from a Goa beach in '92 takes you beyond the covid highway to a beauty-fuel path, or just that imaginary journey liberating us with an elsewhere of possibilities. Out hear in Knowhere we are the patchwork harmonies, we are the fluorescent heros of an old trip. For now, Full Circle is a destination to Knowhere.
