Montana Jose / Montana Joe, is a Los Angeles based, multi-genre electronic composer, producer, and DJ. Montana’s production in a variety of styles and genres originates from his traditional Eastern European, African, and Latin musical influences. Says Montana about his unique musical style, "It's time to get all Renaissance on it's ass, and breakthrough." He uses the name Montana Jose to help transcend limits and boundaries, as a result, creating relationships. His, “feel free to feel free” policy leads to something few today still are… AN ARTIST. He has worked as a remixer, collaborator, and DJ, for artists and bands such as, Obsidian Nights, Palenke Soultribe, Acapulco Gold, Cuevo Perez, Junkyard Connection, Locos Por Juana, Yasmin Deliz, Marthin Chan, Altered TEK, beYond, Class Project, Underwater Productions, White Jesus, and Maleco Collective feat Mal Verde. His music has been featured on mixed-tapes, compilation albums, radio, and television shows including, MTV, National Geographic, popular Los Angeles based KCRW and Voto Latino’s campaign, featuring collaborations with Rosario Dawson, Wilmer Valderrama, and Perez Hilton. Montana is also featured in Undiscovered LA, a documentary about an eclectic mix of musicians in the contemporary Los Angeles music scene.

He was born and grew up in rural Augusta, Montana and the surround areas. He graduated from the University of Montana in 2006 with degrees in Fine Arts, Culinary Arts, Media Arts, Music, and Dance. His ancestry is Czech and he is well traveled, including U. S., Canada, Mexico, Japan, Eastern and Western Europe. He is also a practicing teacher at a middle school and an exhibiting visual artist.

More recently he has focused on producing and promoting landmark installations and performances containing various art and music collaborations. In 2012, he established Arts Faculty, Whack Family Records, and Whack Family Publishing as creative outlets and platforms for artists and musicians. Montana is currently exhibiting art, and creating music in Los Angeles, CA.

Palenke Soultribe is a live electronic music trio fusing electronic sounds with Afro-Colombian rhythms and melodies. Originally formed in Colombia, but now based in Los Angeles, Palenke Soultribe (a.k.a. PST) have claimed a spot in the Latin Alternative music world by putting on energetic shows, releasing musically interesting albums and remixes and always pushing the envelope visually and conceptually. The initial line up was formed by producer/bassist Juan Diego Borda and keyboardist/producer Andres "Popa" Erazo. Currently, PST continues to work as a collective, inviting guest producers, singers, songwriters and instrumentalists to their shows and to contribute on their albums.
