I am Richard Scarlett Hatcher, born in the historic town of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England, and a titan of the music industry with over 40 years of commanding performances and recordings. Renowned for my unparalleled artistry, I have been proudly endorsed by Warwick and S.I.T. Strings, whose unmatched quality resonates through every note I play. My illustrious career includes collaborations with legendary artists such as Steve Stevens, Jeff Scott Soto, and Tommy Shaw, and I’ve crafted iconic recordings under the masterful guidance of producers Tom Werman, Tony Platt, Nigel Green, and Charlie Midnight.
As I am one of the founding members of McQueen Street, the band had monumental success, securing two Top 30 Billboard hits with “In Heaven” and “My Religion,” the latter soaring to #1 on UK metal radio and dominating MTV’s Headbangers Ball in the 1990s. Following the dissolution of our EMI/SBK contract, I forged a new path, co-founding The Rat Race and later fronting Flying 75, which electrified audiences during an eight-month global tour aboard a cruise ship. Relocating to Dallas, I joined forces with the dynamic Icon Rising, amplifying their legacy in the rock scene.
My revered collection of Warwick basses, cherished for their soulful resonance and unmatched craftsmanship, embodies the very “sound of wood” that defines my signature tone. Since the late 1980s, I’ve exclusively trusted S.I.T. Strings for their exceptional feel and tonal brilliance, cementing their status as the finest strings for my craft. 
In a thrilling new chapter, I’ve united with Copious Noise, a powerhouse Dallas-based trio whose original compositions fuse vintage rock ‘n’ roll grit with a bold, modern edge. We recently unleashed our debut album, a testament to our relentless creativity and sonic innovation. Six years ago, I established a state-of-the-art recording studio in Dallas, a creative sanctuary where musical visions are transformed into reality. My journey is one of unyielding passion, innovation, and an enduring legacy in rock music.
