With this mix Heidi asks to please learn more about and consider donating to: I would love to highlight a new initiative called Synth Library NYC that I am helping to launch, together with the talented Brooklyn sound artist Cy X.  Synth Library NYC will open in May 2021 as a community education and music hub providing access to synthesizers, modular gear, recording equipment and other electronic musical instruments for people of all experience levels with priority access to BIPOC and those of marginalized genders.  Individuals will be able to ‘check-out’ an instrument and take it home for 3 weeks, just like one would borrow a book from the public library. Synth Library NYC also plans to have virtual and in-person workshops, synth meet ups, collaborative performances and other engagement activities to foster connection and help encourage those with less experience. We are grateful to be consulting with the founders of Fem Synth Lab in Los Angeles who have paved the way in this concept of community building, and Powrplnt, a network of Brooklyn artists dedicated to providing equal access to digital arts education, where we are currently residents. Hypnotic Groove Mix #373 - Heidi Sabertooth

Part of "The Visit EP" is a four-track journey through pulsating techno and ethnic rhythms. The EP blends a hypnotic techno groove with energetic, driving percussion, dense cymbals, and layers of synthesizers that carve out space between trance-like immersion and almost ambient moments of respite.

From the opening “Challenge”, with its sharp acid line, through the intense title track “The Visit”, to the relentless “Anticlimax” and the closing “Don’t fail” — at times atmospheric yet deeply moving — the release forms a cohesive, energetic set that nods to 90s techno traditions while remaining fresh.

Sounds From NoWhere welcomes aboard the Swedish electronic musician Peder Mannerfelt (Peder Mannerfelt Produktions / Avian).

Peder Mannerfelt first slipped onto the radar with straightforward house and techno under the name 'The Subliminal Kid'. 
Over the next decade, his sound underwent an extraordinary transformation. 
He began making textural, freeform electronic music with Malcolm Pardon as Roll The Dice. 
On his own, he crafted dynamic and creatively unhinged tracks that contain all the best energy of club music and none of its stylistic constraints.
His mix for our series is just an unpredictable journey through his eccentric musical universe.

NYC-based singer, multi-instrumentalist, DJ and producer Heidi Sabertooth has a serious love for hardware. Grit-laced drum loops, vintage acid and a tide of unruly sound clatters forth from
her studio. She's been creating her unique brand of electronics since 2012, pushing out beautiful noise, from the delicate to the jarring. She is resident of NYC-based Lost Soul Enterprises, host on The Lot Radio and curator of Bossa Nova Civic Club’s Techno Support Group party. Her highly lauded live hardware performances and vinyl-heavy dj sets have cemented her own place among NYC’s techno community and beyond.
