We have the pleasure tu present you the #23 Podcast w/ @shaktismm from South Korea. 
Shakti, founder of Hämmern, is a seoul based DJ and known for her intense, ravy tunes. She got the name “Shakti (Power in Hindi)” while studying in India and as the name describes, she delivers powerful energy to the floor. Her set usually is based on heavy industrial sound often combined with psychedelic and serrated synths, EBM line/wave, acid and vocals.

This year in 2020, she launched her own event "Hämmern" which is directed by local talents including her and since its launching, it has been attracting great attention and is expected to bring a new wave in Seoul's underground scene.

We're excited to be back with the fourth release on our label: ‘Selem’ EP by MERVH. The Turkish-born, Warsaw-based producer makes her debut with a 3 track digital EP backed with remixes from Violent, HATELOVE, and Sekulahr.

The release opens with ‘She Is Gone’ in which haunting vocals that establish an elegiac tone drift over an entrancing beat, up till a cathartic indurstialesque climax. The atmosphere becomes even more dense on „The Death Was Near” where fast and heavy drums meet melancholic yet ecstatic pads, urging for a frantic dance. MERVH downs the tempo again into industrial mode on the final original track ‘Endless Longing’ which finishes off with an epic synth line.

Violent’s cinematic rework of ‘She Is Gone’ continues the sublime atmosphere in a complex yet smooth 8-minute composition that takes the listener on a purgatory journey. Next up, HATELOVE reinterprets ‘The Death Was Near’ into a merciless galloping banger in his signature style. The final remix is Sekulahr’s stepping and atmospheric rendition of ‘Endless Longing’ which eventu-ally turns into trance mode for a grand finale.

MERVH - Selem EP [BTS004] Preview

"MIND RELIGION" es el 7º lanzamiento del sello, un Ep compuesto por 5 tracks originales de Techno futurista, agresivo y postapocalíptico.

El dúo NX1 (Samot y Surit), tomó más de medio vinilo cada uno para una creación única que se completa con dos poderosos remixes de Motive Power & Crystal Geometry.

"Energy Peaks", que es una creación altamente cinética y una pieza con mucha textura. Después, viene el remix de Motive Power, una pieza Techno futurista, post-apocalíptica y cinematográfica, perfectamente envuelta con un magnífico diseño de sonido.  La tercera pista presenta los originales "Mind Whispers", ritmos breakbeat, con un toque de rock distorsionado, convierten esta pista en un loop mental sin escapatoria. 

Seguimos con “Civil Religion”, la vertiente más hipnótica del Ep, punzante y sólida con matices de psicodelia. “You call it Sanity”, es una bomba imparable, funcional y rompedora, energía directa a la columna. 

Y aquí viene el remix de Crystal Geometry, un track brutal que nos transporta a un ambiente rebelde, punk y oscuro: ¡puro fuego! Bonus track: "Raice Your Voice": asesino de la pista de baile, banger, industrial y explosivo, cierre perfecto para este poderoso Ep.

Con este lanzamiento HEX Recordings confirma una vez más su visión oscura, fatalista y despiadada del Techno, silbando directamente el distópico Pandemonium.
