Kassebaum is a Brooklyn based producer and DJ, who has had many years behind the decks and played a variety of styles of music over his career. Currently he is releasing music under the name Kassebaum, formerly known as Nick Kassebaum, and he’s organized parties, mix series, and much more aside from just showcasing his own musical performances. With having played gigs alongside artists such as Umfang, Felicie, Joton, and many more international names, he has also released music under independent labels such as Texture, So Tight, and more. Kassebaum is an organizer as well as performer - running labels Regression and house-music focused effort Floor Effect. You can catch Kassebaum DJing around Brooklyn and Manhattan at least once per week, as he is no stranger to 5 hour or more background / vibe DJ sets, in addition to his high energy dance club mixes.

Kassebaums music can be described anywhere from soulful and discohouse, to bass-heavy IDM, to slower trance and organic techno. The goal is to get the dancer going - and connect in meaningful ways to the dance floor and community at large. 

Notes on the Mix ///

"This mix represents how I’m feeling right now as an artist. The start of it is very slow, very bass heavy, the kind of track you could feel in your chest at the beginning of a night at a club. I feel like these slower, weirder, bassier, breakier tracks are so sick, and really strike people and set the mood in such a unique way. The rest of the mix after that is a two-deck blend of drug-chug, slower trance and a little bit of electro funk. I ended it on an Italo track I’ve been playing out lately that is such an earworm - I can’t even read the title without it getting stuck in my head. I hope you all enjoy it and I’m excited for my next set to play something like this out!"
