Aaron Martin & Christoph Berg’s split called “Day Has Ended” is a piece of quiet, intimate music, interfused with daylight and covered by a soft mist of evening dreams. This album spans the course of a day until the point where night falls.

The first part, created by Aaron Martin, is a water-colour, cool and delicate. The twinkling sun reflected itself in a slow river, transparent silvery clouds sparkle and brush the heads of drowsy trees. The closer to the middle of the album, the lower goes the gentle shadow, saturating. In the second part - Christoph Berg’s one, water-colour turns into gouache. The sound becomes more full, more sensuous, it comes in waves, like breath of a sleeping man.

Just close your eyes, be all ears and you’ll feel – the night is not silent. Sweet tune of twilight and darkness full of echo, humming blue, vague voice of the strings and clear gleaming of bright stars in a velvet sky – that is the night.

It’s a perfect and severely sincere work, slightly bittered with melancholy.

Aaron Martin is a very talented multi-instrumentalist from Topeka, Kansas who has releases on such labels as Experimedia, Preservation, Under The Spire, Sonic Meditations.

Christoph Berg is composer and sound artist currently living and working in Berlin focusing on fragile acoustic chamber music compositions. Also writes electro-acoustic music as Field Rotation. He has releases on Facture, hibernate, Denovali Records, Fluid Audio.

Steinway artist, Chad Lawson, decided Chopin needed a new introduction.  Along with violinist Judy Kang (Lady Gaga, Ryuichi Sakamoto) and cellist Rubin Kodheli (Kanye West, Norah Jones), Lawson has arranged ten Chopin works into a minimalist landscape.

It's a risk editing the "poet of the piano" but one that Chopin would be proud of.  

Taking 10 Chopin works, Lawson decided to scale the works down to a minimalist setting.  "I knew even if bare-bones, Chopin's works could still be as spellbinding as the original compositions we are so familiar with." says the pianist.

Somewhere between now and the future, a hunt begins in the blue neon space before darkness. The near dark.

Gideon Wolf’s new album lives in the headlights on that empty road, sweeping the distant violence at high speed. A soundtrack to the escape from a Ballardian dystopia.

‘Near Dark’ sees the duelling elements of Tristan Shorr’s musical output merge into one; prophetic ambience driving headlong into rhythm and distortion.  

Think Ben Frost and Max Richter colliding in a futuristic urban landscape – “a vertical Kubrick event horizon that is equal parts Nils Frahm and Oren Ambarchi” (Cyclic Defrost).

Mastered with precision by James Plotkin, the album will be limited to 200 copies, for release in September 2015, with packaging in the customary Fluid Audio style.

My début track in collaboration with my good friend minty :) We tried to make a floaty vibe with lots of ambience for the end of october! Kids playing outside in the park while you're sitting on the bench, just enjoy the Funcc. Placidity 2020 compilation release with a bunch of amazing producers.

So far it's been a great winter, great as in snowy and cold instead of mildly cold and wet and muddy. As I'm sat in my studio I often sit and watch the weather for a while and this piece comes from watching the snow fall, large flakes small flakes, wind blowing and also feeling the weather inside as my room is poorly insulated, something I need to get around to fixing.

BelaZee is a 17-year-old composer living in Germany. He started playing the cello at the age of eight. He performed in small ensembles as well as in big symphony orchestras. In his music, he connects orchestral and electronic elements with textures and melodies played with his cello, and he experiments with sampling and audio effects.
