Distant Call

Delving more into rhythmic syncopation and motion. I was inspired by the FF7 'Wall-market' theme for this piece. I guess in my mind I wanted a sort of slinky, groovy, rhythmic fusion sort of vibe, but with my own characteristic story-telling. I tried to mostly forgo a melody and instead use rhythmic chord stabs and note spacing to give the push and pull for this track so each section has it's own sort of emotional texture. I'm pretty happy with how this turned out.

Trolley Ghost drifts in with mellow sophistication—anchored by the warm tones of a Rhodes piano, accented by light percussions, and wrapped in the gentle strum of acoustic guitar. Euphoria is a track designed around the circular guitar riff that begins the songs. The drums and chords change around this riff, but it continues to come back home to the chorus, with the aforementioned guitar riff.
